Important: This Verified Result Is for MBBS

The official result document verified by Hire Guide Education is titled:

β€œMBBS Admissions Under Competent Authority Quota for the AY 2026-27 β€” College Wise Allotment List in First Phase of Counselling.”

Therefore HGE should update:

Telangana MBBS β€” Phase 1 Result Published

Do not automatically mark the separate BDS counselling result as published unless KNRUHS releases/verifies the corresponding BDS allotment list.

Top Government Medical College Rank Trends

The official allotment list gives a useful picture of Telangana's Round 1 competition.

Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad

The first allotment shown is:

NEET AIR 83 β€” OPEN Female

The OPEN allotments then continue through several thousand ranks before category-specific seats begin.

In the verified segment, OPEN-category allotments are visible through approximately the 7,500 rank range, after which BC/EWS/category-specific allotments become prominent.

HGE Interpretation

Gandhi remains the strongest-demand Telangana government medical college in Phase 1.

Candidates seeking Gandhi in Phase 2 generally require either:

  • a very strong OPEN rank;
  • an applicable reserved-category rank;
  • or vacancy generated by upgrade/non-reporting.

Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad

The Osmania list begins at:

NEET AIR 1,064

OPEN-category allotments continue through approximately:

AIR 18,251

before the visible allotment pattern transitions more heavily into reserved categories.

Examples from the official result include:

  • OPEN allotments in the 1,000–18,000 range;
  • BC-B / BC-D / BC-E category movement after that;
  • SC and ST allotments extending substantially deeper;
  • PwD horizontal allotments extending far beyond normal category closing ranks.

HGE Interpretation

For a general/open candidate, Osmania Phase 1 appears materially more accessible than Gandhi but remains highly competitive.

Do not use PwD or special-category ranks as ordinary OPEN closing ranks.

Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal

Kakatiya's Phase 1 list begins at:

AIR 18,910

Verified OPEN allotments include ranks such as:

  • 18,910
  • 19,732
  • 19,942
  • 20,667
  • 21,324
  • 22,427
  • 25,448
  • 27,058
  • 28,323
  • 28,662
  • 28,858

This demonstrates a clear step-down in competition compared with Gandhi and Osmania.

Practical Meaning

Candidates around the 20,000–30,000 AIR zone were actively participating in the OPEN allotment band at Kakatiya in Phase 1.

Category-reserved seats extend further.

Government Medical College, Nizamabad

The verified Nizamabad section begins around:

AIR 32,152

OPEN-category allotments visible in the result include approximately:

  • 32,152
  • 32,603
  • 33,627
  • 34,145
  • 37,109
  • 38,214
  • 38,624
  • 38,957
  • 42,046
  • 42,232
  • 43,074

This indicates a significant expansion of realistic government-MBBS possibilities below the top three Telangana institutions.

Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar

The Phase 1 list starts at:

AIR 31,383

OPEN allotments extend through approximately:

AIR 55,151

in the verified portion before regular reserved-category allotments become dominant.

This illustrates why candidates should not judge Telangana government MBBS chances using Gandhi/Osmania cutoffs alone.

Reservation Analysis β€” Very Important

Telangana uses a more granular reservation structure than many other states.

The allotment file contains categories such as:

  • OPEN
  • EWS
  • BC-A
  • BC-B
  • BC-C
  • BC-D
  • BC-E
  • SC Group-I
  • SC Group-II
  • SC Group-III
  • ST

along with horizontal/special claims including:

  • PwD
  • Female
  • CAP
  • NCC
  • PMC
  • SCCL
  • Minority

These must remain properly normalized in HGE.

PwD Is Horizontal β€” Do Not Treat PwD Ranks as Regular Cutoffs

The official list demonstrates very large rank extensions for PwD seats.

For example, Osmania includes PwD allotments reaching beyond:

AIR 10 lakh

while ordinary OPEN-category allotments closed vastly earlier.

This does not mean Osmania's general MBBS cutoff is 10 lakh AIR.

It means a valid PwD horizontal reservation operates inside the applicable vertical category.

For HGE data:

Category = OPEN / BC / SC / ST / EWS

Horizontal Reservation = PwD

Gandhi vs Osmania vs Kakatiya β€” Phase 1 Pattern

A simplified comparison from the official result:

CollegeFirst observed allotment AIRIndicative demand
Gandhi Medical College83Extremely High
Osmania Medical College1,064Very High
Kakatiya Medical College18,910High
GMC Mahabubnagar31,383Moderate-High
GMC Nizamabad32,152Moderate-High

These are observed allotment ranks, not universal category closing cutoffs.

Actual HGE cutoff records must be generated separately by:

College Γ— Category Γ— Gender/Horizontal Reservation Γ— Seat Type Γ— Closing AIR

Minority Colleges Must Be Kept Separate

The allotment PDF also includes Minority Medical College seats.

For example, Deccan College of Medical Sciences appears under the Competent Authority allotment document with Muslim Minority-coded allotments.

Do not combine:

Minority CQ

with:

Regular OPEN CQ

because eligibility and cutoff behaviour differ.

What Does MRC Mean?

Many reserved-category candidates appear with:

MRC

in their allotment code.

These are merit/reservation-conversion related allotments according to the counselling allocation rules.

For cutoff analysis, HGE must use the actual allotted-seat category, not merely the candidate's personal caste/category.

This distinction is critical.

A BC candidate allotted an OPEN seat must contribute to:

OPEN seat cutoff

not the BC reserved-seat closing rank.

Phase 2 Upgrade Strategy

Candidates should compare their own AIR with the actual Phase 1 college pattern.

Very high-rank candidates

Focus on:

  • Gandhi
  • Osmania
  • top preferred Government colleges

Mid government-MBBS range

Look closely at:

  • Kakatiya
  • Nizamabad
  • Mahabubnagar
  • other established Government Medical Colleges

Higher AIR candidates

Do not assume government MBBS is impossible.

Several newer Telangana government medical colleges show substantially deeper Phase 1 allotment ranges, particularly under:

  • BC categories
  • SC groups
  • ST
  • special reservations
  • PwD

Phase 2 movement will depend heavily on:

  • non-reporting;
  • MCC upgrades;
  • candidates moving to better colleges;
  • newly available vacancies;
  • category conversions;
  • retained/exit decisions.

Important Student Action After Allotment

If you have received a Phase 1 MBBS seat:

  1. Log in to the official counselling portal.
  2. Download the provisional allotment order.
  3. Pay the applicable University fee.
  4. Check the exact reporting deadline printed in your allotment order.
  5. Report to the allotted medical college.
  6. Carry all original certificates.
  7. Complete final document verification.
  8. Pay applicable tuition/college fees.
  9. Obtain admission acknowledgement.
  10. Keep monitoring KNRUHS for Phase 2 / retain / free-exit instructions.

⚠️ Do not rely on an unofficial reporting date.

>

KNRUHS requires allotted candidates to follow the deadline specified in the official allotment order/current university instructions.

Not Allotted in Phase 1?

Do not assume counselling is over.

Phase 2 can receive seats from:

  • candidates not reporting;
  • MCC/AIQ upgrades;
  • resignations/free exit where permitted;
  • category conversions;
  • fresh vacancies;
  • seat additions/corrections.

Your Phase 2 strategy should therefore use:

Phase 1 actual closing ranks + vacancy list + category + seat type + college preference + fees

Important Category Correction Notice

KNRUHS has also issued a 3 September notice concerning candidates who had claimed ST reservation after migrating from other States.

Twelve affected candidates were reportedly reclassified to OPEN under the applicable reservation rules.

Affected candidates must therefore verify their final category status before relying on an ST cutoff or counselling expectation.

Hire Guide Education Analysis

Phase 1 shows a very clear demand ladder:

Gandhi β†’ Osmania β†’ Kakatiya β†’ Established District GMCs β†’ Newer GMCs

The difference between top-college and newer-college closing ranks is substantial.

Students should therefore avoid asking only:

β€œCan I get Government MBBS?”

The better question is:

β€œWhich Telangana Government Medical College is realistic at my AIR + category + horizontal reservation after Phase 1 movement?”

Phase 2 should be planned using the actual 2026 allotment data, not only previous-year cutoff.
