DNB OPJR Registration Starts

NBEMS has opened the next registration step for Post Diploma DNB 2026 trainees. OPJR starts from 7 September; candidates must complete the Joining Report and Self-Appraisal process within the prescribed timeline.

What Is OPJR?

OPJR stands for:

Online Portal for Joining & Registration

After joining a Post Diploma DNB seat, the admission process does not end with physical reporting.

The trainee and the allotted NBEMS-accredited hospital/institute must complete the prescribed online registration and verification formalities so that the candidate can be provisionally registered as an NBEMS trainee.

What Has NBEMS Announced?

NBEMS has issued a notice regarding:

Submission of Joining Report and Self-Appraisal Form on OPJR for Provisional Registration of Post Diploma DNB Trainees — 2026 Admission Session.

The notice applies to candidates who have successfully joined eligible Post Diploma DNB seats in the 2026 admission cycle.

Candidate / Trainee Formalities

Up to 11 October 2026

Hospital / Institute Formalities

Up to 31 October 2026

What Must the Candidate Do?

Candidates should complete the prescribed trainee-side OPJR formalities, including applicable:

  1. Login to the OPJR portal.

  2. Check personal and course details.

  3. Complete joining information.

  4. Submit the prescribed Self-Appraisal Form.

  5. Upload/support the required registration documents.

  6. Coordinate with the allotted hospital for verification.

  7. Keep acknowledgement/proof of successful submission.

  8. Track the status until hospital and NBEMS verification is completed.

Hospital / Institute Responsibility

The NBEMS-accredited hospital or institution must complete its corresponding formalities.

These may include applicable:

  • Joining Report submission

  • Annexure/document upload

  • Verification of trainee details

  • Verification of Self-Appraisal

  • Confirmation of joining

  • Institutional authentication required by NBEMS

📌 Candidates should not assume that completing their own login alone finishes the registration process.

Coordinate with the hospital's DNB coordinator / academic department / designated NBEMS official.

Important for In-Service Candidates

The notice also covers applicable Post Diploma DNB candidates admitted against seats associated with:

  • State Government

  • Railways

  • Public Sector Undertakings

  • ESIC

  • Other recognised in-service arrangements

Candidates employed with a Government department, PSU or other organisation should keep the prescribed:

Relieving Order / Relieving Letter

ready wherever applicable.

Why Is This Important?

OPJR is part of your formal NBEMS trainee-registration process.

Failure to correctly complete the required candidate/institution formalities can create problems with:

  • Provisional registration

  • Training record

  • Joining validation

  • NBEMS trainee status

  • Subsequent academic/examination processes

Candidate Checklist

Before starting OPJR, keep applicable documents ready:

  • Post Diploma DNB allotment details

  • Joining Report

  • Diploma qualification documents

  • MBBS degree/provisional degree

  • Internship completion certificate

  • NMC/State Medical Council registration

  • Government photo ID

  • DNB-PDCET documents

  • Hospital joining acknowledgement

  • Relieving Order/Letter, if applicable

  • Category/in-service documents, where applicable

  • Any Annexure or declaration prescribed by NBEMS

  • Clear scanned copies in the format required by OPJR

Already Joined After Final Mop-Up?

If you joined through the recently completed Post Diploma DNB Final Mop-Up Round, this notice is especially important.

Your counselling allotment/reporting stage is now followed by:

OPJR + Provisional Registration

Do not assume that physical joining alone completes every NBEMS admission formality.

  1. Mark 7 September 2026 in your calendar.

  2. Open OPJR as soon as it becomes active.

  3. Complete candidate-side formalities early.

  4. Contact your hospital DNB coordinator.

  5. Confirm that institutional verification has also been completed.

  6. Save screenshots/acknowledgements of every successful submission.

  7. Check for deficiency/clarification messages regularly.

Important Warning

🚨 Do not wait until 11 October to start the process.

Problems involving:

  • incorrect documents;

  • institute verification;

  • relieving order;

  • registration certificate;

  • document format; or

  • portal access

can take time to resolve.

Early completion gives both the candidate and hospital enough time to correct deficiencies.
