MCC NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round Revised Provisional Result Out
MCC has published the Revised Provisional NEET-UG Counselling Seats Allotment 2026 — Stray Vacancy Round.
🚨 CRITICAL STATUS
>
Result Type: REVISED PROVISIONAL
>
Published: 19 October 2026
>
Discrepancy / Grievance Deadline: 20 October 2026 — 11:00 AM
>
Final Result: AWAITED
>
Reporting Schedule: 19–26 October 2026, but candidates must approach the allotted college only after MCC declares the Final Result.
Important — This Is Not Yet the Final Result
The MCC notice clearly states that the provisional result is indicative and subject to change. Candidates cannot claim a final right over the allotted seat based only on this provisional result.
Do not report to the college yet. MCC has specifically advised candidates to approach their allotted college/institute only after declaration of the Final Result.
Grievance Window — Action Required Before 11 AM
If there is any discrepancy in the revised provisional allotment, it must be raised immediately through the:
Candidates Grievances And Query Redressal System
available inside the MCC candidate-login portal.
Deadline
20 October 2026 — 11:00 AM
Do not rely on email or unofficial channels if the candidate-login grievance module is available.
Result Size
The official revised provisional PDF contains 3,108 allotment records across MCC's Stray Vacancy counselling pool.
The result includes allotments across multiple MCC routes such as:
- All India Quota
- AIIMS / JIPMER Open Seat routes
- Delhi/IP University institutional routes where applicable
- ESIC
- Deemed University Self-Financed Merit seats
- NRI seats
- other eligible central/institutional quota routes
MBBS and BDS must be analysed separately. B.Sc Nursing, where present in MCC counselling, must remain outside the MBBS/BDS cutoff dataset.
Key Rank Snapshot — Why Quota Separation Matters
The first listed allotment in the revised provisional result is:
- AIR 3,782 — AIIMS Bhubaneswar — MBBS — Open Seat Quota — Open
Other early allotments include AIIMS Gorakhpur, Seth GS Medical College Mumbai, CAPFIMS Delhi, KGMU Lucknow, AIIMS Kalyani, AIIMS Bilaspur, AIIMS Patna and other highly competitive government/central institutes.
At the lower end of the file, Deemed University Self-Financed Merit MBBS allotments extend beyond AIR 11 lakh. For example, the final listed allotment is around AIR 11.90 lakh at Bhaarath Medical College & Hospital, Chennai — MBBS — Self-Financed Merit Seat.
This does not mean Government/AIQ MBBS closed near 11 lakh. It demonstrates why MCC cutoff analysis must be separated by quota + institution type + course + category.
Important Rule for Changed Category / Quota in the Same Institution
MCC's result note states that candidates whose category or quota has changed in the same institution and subject are required to:
- obtain an online-generated relieving letter;
- get admitted against the changed category/quota seat at the allotted institution; and
- obtain a fresh online-generated admission letter.
Failure to complete this fresh admission process can lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
What Allotted Candidates Should Do Now
- Download and check the revised provisional result.
- Verify AIR, allotted institute, course, quota and allotted category.
- Compare the result with your candidate-login allotment status.
- If there is any discrepancy, submit it through MCC's grievance/query redressal system before 11:00 AM on 20 October.
- Do not travel/report to the allotted college based only on the provisional result.
- Wait for MCC's Final Result.
- After final result, download the final allotment letter and follow reporting instructions.
- Candidates with changed category/quota in the same institution must follow MCC's relieving + fresh admission-letter requirement.
Reporting Window
MCC's revised Stray Round schedule lists reporting from:
19 October 2026 to 26 October 2026
However, the specific provisional-result notice supersedes the practical start for candidates by stating:
Approach the allotted college/institute only after the Final Result is declared.
Therefore HGE dashboard should show:
Result — Revised Provisional Published | Final Result Awaited
—not “Reporting Active” until the final result appears.
HGE Cutoff / Result Data Action
After MCC publishes the Final Result:
- extract all MBBS allotment rows;
- extract all BDS allotment rows separately;
- map every institute to the existing HGE master_code;
- retain MCC institute code;
- use allotted quota and allotted category, not candidate category, for cutoff generation;
- keep NRI as quota;
- keep PwD horizontal with the parent category;
- separate Deemed Self-Financed Merit from AIQ/Government/Open Seat routes;
- calculate college × course × quota × category opening and closing AIR;
- compare Round 3 vs Stray movement;
- only mark the cutoff dataset final after MCC's Final Result.
