Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Round 4 Result Out — MBBS/BDS Stray Round Cutoff & Reporting Rules

Maharashtra CET Cell has declared NEET UG 2026 Round 4 / Online Stray Vacancy Round 1 result for MBBS/BDS. Selected candidates must physically report with originals and fees during the official reporting window. Failure to report can cancel the allotment and may trigger last-round disqualification consequences under the brochure.

MAHARASHTRA NEET UG 2026 ROUND 4 RESULT OUT
Online Stray Vacancy Round 1 • MBBS/BDS • Physical reporting: 20–21 Oct 2026 up to 5:30 PM

Result Status

The Maharashtra State CET Cell has published the Provisional Selection List for MBBS/BDS Online Stray Vacancy Round 1. For HGE communication and dashboard purposes, this is Round 4 of Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 counselling.

What selected candidates must do

  1. Check AIR, CET form number, allotted category/quota, college code and course in the result.

  2. Report physically to the allotted college within the official window.

  3. Carry all required original documents.

  4. Pay the requisite college fees using the permitted payment mode.

  5. Complete document verification and obtain admission/joining acknowledgement.

  6. Follow any Status Retention / cancellation instruction applicable to this round.

What happens if you do not report?

Your Round 4 allotment does not remain protected if you simply ignore the reporting deadline. The selection list rules require physical reporting, original-document verification and fee payment within the stipulated time. If these are not completed, the selection can be cancelled and the seat can return to the counselling pool.

Because this is a stray/last-stage round, candidates should also be careful about the Maharashtra brochure's last-round disqualification rule. The brochure framework provides serious consequences where a selected candidate does not report/join and causes a last-round seat to lapse. Therefore, HGE should not describe non-reporting as a free exit. Candidates should check the 2026 brochure/controlling notice before deliberately skipping an allotted seat.

Cutoff — how to read Round 4 correctly

The Round 4 result is a selection list, not a separate official cutoff sheet. HGE should derive the practical cutoff as the last allotted AIR for each college × course × printed quota/category combination. Do not treat candidate category alone as the allotted category.

Vertical categories

  • OPEN

  • EWS

  • OBC

  • SEBC

  • SC

  • ST

  • VJA

  • NTB / NT1

  • NTC / NT2

  • NTD / NT3

Horizontal / special labels

  • W / Women

  • PwD

  • Defence D1/D2/D3

  • Hilly Area where applicable

  • Orphan categories

  • EMD / EMR earmarking donor-receiver labels

Quota / institutional routes

  • State quota / regular category seat

  • Institutional Quota (IQ)

  • Minority route where printed

  • Any special institutional/earmarking quota exactly as printed in the result

Important HGE mapping rule: Women and PwD stay horizontal. EMD/EMR remain special earmarking labels. Minority and IQ remain quota/institutional-route fields. Do not collapse these into one vertical category.

How to explain cutoff movement

Round 4 cutoffs can move much deeper than Round 3 because only residual vacancies are available and the eligible pool is smaller. But a deeper AIR at one college does not mean the whole category cutoff dropped uniformly. Cutoff must be read college-wise and quota-wise.

For HGE analysis, publish separate tables for:

  • Government MBBS — OPEN/OBC/EWS/SC/ST/VJ/NT/SEBC last AIR

  • Private MBBS State Quota — category-wise last AIR

  • Private/Institutional/Minority MBBS — quota-specific last AIR

  • Government BDS — category-wise last AIR

  • Private BDS — State/Institutional/Minority last AIR separately

Use AIR as AIR. Do not label it as Maharashtra State Merit Rank. If marks are not printed in the result, do not invent NEET scores.

Reporting checklist

  • Allotment/selection proof

  • PwD/special claim certificates where applicable

HGE Advice

If you are selected in Round 4, do not wait until the last hour. Contact the allotted college, confirm fee/payment mode and reporting requirements, arrange originals, and complete physical joining. If you are considering not joining, first verify the last-round disqualification/penalty consequence under the Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 brochure and official notice.
