MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Provisional Seat Allotment Result Declared: How to Verify, Report Errors by 10 AM Oct 1, and Reporting Rules
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has officially released the Provisional Seat Allotment Result for Round 3 of NEET UG 2026 Counselling on the night of 30 September 2026.
This major allotment phase determines undergraduate admissions across 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges, 100% seats in Deemed and Central Universities, AIIMS institutes across the country, JIPMER (Puducherry & Karaikal), and ESIC medical institutions. With Round 3 being the final round permitting fresh choice filling, the published result sets the stage for final institutional admissions before the residual Stray Vacancy Round.
1. Understanding the Provisional Result & Legal Advisory
The result released tonight reflects the algorithmic matching of candidate choices, NEET UG merit ranks, reservation rosters, and verified category statuses (including the 320 candidates converted to NRI status). However, candidates must note the following statutory directives issued by MCC:
Indicative Nature: The provisional result is purely indicative in nature and subject to change based on grievance scrutiny and data validation.
No Court Recourse: The provisional allotment carries no legal right to the seat and cannot be challenged in a court of law.
Strict College Approach Restriction: MCC explicitly directs candidates NOT to approach or report to the allotted college or institute on the basis of the provisional result. Official admission formalities can only be undertaken after the Final Result is declared and official Provisional Allotment Letters are generated.
2. The 13-Hour Grievance Redressal Protocol (Closes 10:00 AM, 01 October 2026)
MCC has instituted a tight 13-hour window for candidate error reporting. If any discrepancy is identified—such as an incorrect category, wrong quota allotment, rank inversion, or ineligible college allocation—candidates must lodge their objection immediately:
Log in to the official MCC candidate portal using your NEET UG Roll Number and Password.
Navigate to the Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System.
Select the grievance category (e.g., Category Mismatch, Quota Allocation Error, Personal Details Discrepancy).
Provide a precise description along with supporting document evidence.
Submit the ticket before 10:00 AM IST on 01 October 2026.
Note: Any grievance sent via email, phone, or physical letters to DGHS will not be accepted.
3. Candidate Status & Action Matrix
