Eligibility and category points that can change your options
PwD: The PwD claim must have been made during NEET-PG registration, with an eligible certificate from a designated board.
EWS: Maharashtra State-format EWS certificate is required. The Central format and an application receipt are not accepted for the admission claim.
Reserved categories: Claim the category before submitting the registration form. Conversion from Open/General to a reserved category later will not be entertained.
Outside Maharashtra MBBS graduates and FMGs: Notice No. 01 states that they are eligible only for Institutional Quota seats in private colleges, subject to all other eligibility conditions.
NRI: Register on the Foreign Candidate Registration portal before 22 October. Notice No. 01 uses the wording “15% Institute Quota,” while Notice No. 02 says “15% NRI Quota.” Because the official notices use different labels, candidates should rely on the portal/brochure choice labels and seek CET Cell clarification if their displayed eligibility differs.
Choice-filling strategy
The seat matrix is scheduled for 1 November, so no branch-, college- or category-wise admission chance should be inferred yet. When the matrix appears, compare each choice on branch fit, recognition, clinical exposure, patient load, stipend, tuition and mandatory charges, bond/service terms, workload, location and reporting feasibility. Put only choices you would genuinely accept, in true preference order. Admission outcomes remain dependent on merit, category, quota, eligibility, seat availability and choice order.
What is not yet confirmed by this schedule
The schedule does not publish CAP Round 1 seat totals, branch-wise vacancies, allotment cutoffs, college-wise tuition, stipend amounts or bond/penalty values. Do not copy older-year figures into 2026 master data. The CET Cell states that the schedule may change under directions from MCC, the Central or State Government, or courts.
