Who Can Participate
DME Assam states that a candidate must be eligible under the Medical Colleges of Assam PG admission rules, must have appeared in NEET-PG 2026, must meet the applicable NBEMS qualifying cutoff, and must have their name and roll number in the State provisional merit list. Inclusion in the large source list alone does not establish final counselling eligibility.
Data Analysis
Verified list feature | Official value | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
Document length | 78 candidate-list pages plus notice page | Search by roll number; do not rely only on name spelling |
Top listed record | Score 600; AIR 103 | Descriptive of the provisional source list, not an opening cutoff |
Last listed record | Score -4; AIR 265,807 | The PDF includes records beyond qualifying eligibility; apply the official cutoff and Assam rules |
Counselling scope | 50% State-quota PG seats in Government Medical Colleges and B.B.C.I., Guwahati | Not MCC AIQ and not INI-CET seats |
No opening or closing cutoff can be derived from this merit list. It is not an allotment result and contains no institute–speciality allocation. Admission chances will depend on the final eligible merit list, category, incentive-mark incorporation, official seat matrix, preferences and round movement.
Remote/Difficult-Area Incentive Rule
The previously announced rule remains unchanged: eligible service may receive weightage equal to 3% of NEET-PG marks per completed qualifying year, capped at 9%, subject to notified-area service, competent certification and Assam admission rules. Only the submission deadline changed.
Completed qualifying service | Rule-based weightage |
|---|---|
1 year | 3% of NEET-PG marks |
2 years | 6% of NEET-PG marks |
3 or more years | Maximum 9% |
Category Verification
DME Assam has separately issued a candidate-specific correction changing a listed category from General to MOBC after scrutiny of documents. This confirms that the merit data remains provisional. Every candidate should verify the category shown against their record. A revised consolidated merit list following all representations is not yet officially confirmed.
Doctor Action Checklist
Search the official PDF using your NEET-PG roll number.
Verify spelling, roll number, score, AIR, category, permanent-address State and MBBS State.
If eligible but missing, submit a plain-paper representation with relevant documents by hand at DME Assam, 2nd floor, Room No. 5, on 16 October during office hours.
If claiming remote/difficult-area weightage, use the prescribed form and attach appointment/service proof; submit before 2:00 PM.
Collect an acknowledgement receipt and keep copies of every document.
Do not treat the provisional list as a seat allotment, published cutoff or admission guarantee.
Choice Strategy
Do not rebuild a final choice list solely from this provisional ranking. First confirm that any category correction and incentive marks are reflected in the final eligible merit position. Then compare branches and institutes using clinical exposure, workload, academics, stipend, fees, bond/service obligations, location and long-term career fit.
