Who Can Apply
MBBS from a recognised medical college/university and required medical registration.
Compulsory internship completed on or before 30 September 2026.
NEET-PG 2026 qualifying score: 262 for General/EWS, 244 for General-PwBD, and 226 for SC/ST/OBC, including PwBD of those categories.
The notification states that candidates of other states are not eligible for Competent Authority Quota seats.
The prospectus separately states that an eligible non-local candidate with Andhra Pradesh domicile may claim APNL status for APUR seats, subject to the exact domicile rules and certificate verification.
Service rendered up to 1 July 2026 is counted for in-service eligibility; candidates born on or before 1 July 1976 are not eligible for in-service quota seats.

Data Analysis: Application and Processing Fees
Normal window totals
MBBS location | OC/BC | SC/ST |
|---|---|---|
Within Andhra Pradesh | ₹7,000 | ₹6,000 |
Outside Andhra Pradesh | ₹10,000 | ₹9,000 |
Outside India | ₹14,000 | ₹13,000 |
Outside-AP and outside-country applicants pay additional verification charges. Paying a location-based fee does not itself make an otherwise ineligible candidate eligible.
Late-window totals on 22 October
MBBS location | OC/BC | SC/ST |
|---|---|---|
Within Andhra Pradesh | ₹27,000 | ₹26,000 |
Outside Andhra Pradesh | ₹30,000 | ₹29,000 |
Outside India | ₹34,000 | ₹33,000 |
The late-window amount is the normal applicable fee plus ₹20,000. The complete amount is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted to a future date.
Official Tuition and University Fees
Fee item | Published amount | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
Non-refundable University fee | ₹25,600 | Selected candidates |
Clinical Degree/Diploma tuition | ₹5,71,320 | Category-A CQ, private unaided colleges |
Para-clinical Degree/Diploma tuition | ₹1,78,538 | Category-A CQ, private unaided colleges |
Pre-clinical Degree/Diploma tuition | ₹80,937 | Category-A CQ, private unaided colleges |
The prospectus presents these as the 2026–27 fee structure. Do not treat a published annual/academic-year tuition figure as the total three-year course cost. Hostel, mess, deposits and other college charges are not established by this table.
For specified newly permitted Government Medical Colleges, the prospectus separately lists ₹30,000 for AIQ and general CQ, ₹9,00,000 per annum for CQ self-financing seats and ₹29,00,000 per annum for CQ NRI seats. Verify the exact college, seat category and allotment order before budgeting. SVIMS applies its own officially notified fee, stipend and bond rules.
Service Bonds and Financial Risk
Non-service candidates: one year of Government service, to be completed within a maximum of 18 months after obtaining the PG degree; violation attracts a published penalty of ₹40 lakh.
In-service candidates: minimum ten years of service after completing the in-service PG degree; non-compliance attracts ₹50 lakh plus recovery of pay and allowances received during study with applicable interest.
Phase III/Stray: a refundable ₹50,000 security deposit is prescribed for eligible candidates intending to participate; specified non-joining or cancellation events can cause forfeiture and further counselling consequences.
Important Prospectus Ambiguity
Sections 13.2–13.3 of the document unexpectedly refer to PG Dental while this is the PG Medical prospectus. HGE has therefore not applied the ₹3 lakh dental discontinuation/debarment wording to PG Medical candidates. Treat that point as not yet officially confirmed for PG Medical unless Dr. NTRUHS issues a clarification or corrigendum.
