WBMCC has published the Round 1 provisional list of candidates eligible for choice filling and its AYUSH seat matrix. Verified candidates may fill and lock choices from 21 September 2026 after 6:00 PM until 23 September 2026, 10:00 AM IST. Check your eligibility and the exact course, college and quota before locking.

What Has Happened

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has listed a 17-page provisional eligible-candidate list, printed for 21 September 2026, and a Round 1 matrix printed 21 September at 18:41. This is UG AYUSH counselling, not West Bengal MBBS/BDS counselling. The matrix covers BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS. A place on the provisional list is permission to take the next eligible step; it is not an allotment.

Activity: Provisional eligible list and seat matrix publication

  • Date: 21 September 2026
  • Candidate action: Check name, AIR, category, PwD status and candidate type against your own documents; inspect eligible college/quota seats

Activity: Round 1 online choice filling and choice locking

All courses together: 629 positions = 456 state quota + 47 private-college AIQ + 126 private management quota. By institution type, 326 are government and 303 private. These splits reconcile to the overall total without mixing quota with ownership. Each college's UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and associated PwD columns must still be checked separately.

What Candidates Should Do Now

  1. Find your entry in the provisional eligible list and check AIR, category, PwD status and candidate type. Do not mistake this list for an allotment or a final category-wise cutoff.
  2. Review the matrix college by college; government, state quota in private colleges, private AIQ and management are different routes. Check eligible category and PwD earmarking in the official PDF.
  3. Compare your preferred courses and colleges with official fees and personal affordability before ordering choices. Place genuinely preferred eligible choices in your real order; a larger seat count does not justify an unsuitable course.
