UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 POSTPONED Until Further Orders

🚨 DGME Uttar Pradesh has officially postponed Round 2 of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 for MBBS/BDS until further orders.

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh has issued:

Letter No.: ME-3/2026/1692 Date: 17 September 2026

The notice states that due to unavoidable reasons, the Second Round of UP NEET UG 2026 MBBS/BDS counselling has been postponed until further orders.

What Students Must Understand

This is a POSTPONEMENT — not cancellation of Round 2.

Candidates who have already completed applicable Round 2 registration/payment should preserve:

• Registration slip
• Registration fee receipt
• Security deposit receipt
• Candidate login credentials
• Uploaded documents
• Verification records

Do not submit fresh actions based on the OLD Round 2 calendar unless DGME officially reactivates them.

Old Round 2 Schedule — NOW ON HOLD

Before the postponement, UP Round 2 was scheduled as follows:

• Registration: 14 September, 5:00 PM to 17 September, 11:00 AM
• Registration/Security Fee: up to 17 September, 2:00 PM
• Merit List: 17 September
• Choice Filling: 17 September, 5:00 PM to 19 September, 5:00 PM
• Seat Allotment Result: 21 September
• Allotment Letter / Admission: 22–25 September

⚠️ HGE IMPORTANT: These upcoming Round 2 dates must now be treated as SUPERSEDED / ON HOLD.

Do not continue showing:

Choice Filling Open → 19 September

or

Round 2 Result → 21 September

or

Admission → 22–25 September

as confirmed active deadlines.

What Is the New Schedule?

DGME has not provided replacement dates in the postponement notice.

Therefore:

🚨 Do not trust any unofficial revised Round 2 date circulating on social media or counselling groups.

Wait for a fresh official DGME / UP NEET notice.

Round 2 Registration Already Completed?

Candidates who registered and paid before the postponement should not assume that their registration has been cancelled.

The notice postpones the counselling round.

It does not currently announce:

• cancellation of completed registration,
• refund of registration fee,
• refund of security deposit,
• mandatory fresh registration,
• reopening of registration,
• a new merit list date,
• a new choice-filling date,
• or a new allotment-result date.

Wait for DGME's revised instructions.

Choice Filling — Do Not Follow the Old Deadline

The previous schedule had choice filling beginning on 17 September at 5:00 PM.

The Round 2 postponement was issued before that process was due to proceed.

Therefore HGE students should treat:

ROUND 2 CHOICE FILLING — ON HOLD

until DGME issues further orders.

Government & Private MBBS/BDS Candidates

This notice concerns the UP NEET UG Round 2 counselling process for MBBS/BDS.

Candidates participating for:

• Government MBBS
• Government BDS
• Private MBBS
• Private BDS
• Minority seats
• applicable private/minority counselling categories

should monitor the official revised Round 2 instructions.

Do Not Confuse UP Counselling With MCC

The Uttar Pradesh postponement applies to the UP State NEET UG counselling process.

It does not automatically postpone MCC NEET UG counselling.

MCC and Uttar Pradesh counselling have separate schedules and portals.

Candidates participating in both should continue following each authority independently.

What Students Should Do Now

1. Stop relying on the old UP Round 2 calendar.
2. Preserve registration and security-fee receipts.
3. Preserve your Round 2 candidate login.
4. Do not assume choice filling remains open under the old schedule.
5. Do not assume the 21 September allotment result remains valid.
6. Do not assume the 22–25 September admission schedule remains valid.
7. Check only DGME Uttar Pradesh and UP NEET official portals.
8. Wait for the Revised Round 2 Schedule.
