AIIMS INI-CET January 2027 Registration Open: Apply by 13 October

AIIMS New Delhi has officially opened online registration for the INI-CET January 2027 session for admission to MD, MS, six-year DM/M.Ch and MDS courses at participating Institutes of National Importance.

Important deadline: Complete the online registration/application by 13 October 2026, 5:00 PM IST.

What Has Happened?

The official AIIMS examination portal published the INI-CET January 2027 notice on 16 September 2026. The application route, Part-A prospectus, institute-specific Part-B prospectuses and Sponsored/Foreign National seat-position document are available through the official notice page.

This is an INI-CET / INI PG pathway. It is separate from NEET PG 2026 and MCC PG counselling.

Important Dates

  • Registration opened: 16 September 2026
  • Last date for online registration: 13 October 2026, 5:00 PM
  • Registration-status checking: 17–19 October 2026, up to 5:00 PM
  • Final registration status and admit card: 26 October 2026
  • INI-CET examination: 1 November 2026
  • Exam centres: Cities across India, subject to the official prospectus/application process

Who Is Affected?

This update matters to candidates seeking the notified INI-CET January 2027 PG courses, including:

  • MD
  • MS
  • DM (six-year course)
  • M.Ch. (six-year course)
  • MDS

MDS is included because the official AIIMS notice combines it with the INI-CET PG process. HGE will keep MDS seat and cutoff analysis separate from MD/MS wherever course-level data is analysed.

What Candidates Should Do

  1. Open the official AIIMS INI-CET notice page.
  2. Read Prospectus Part-A carefully.
  3. Read the correct Part-B prospectus for each institute you may choose.
  4. Check eligibility, internship completion, registration, category and document requirements applicable to you.
  5. Create or use the AIIMS examination account and complete the required application stages.
  6. Recheck uploaded details and documents before final submission.
  7. Finish the process before 13 October 2026, 5:00 PM.
  8. Check registration status during 17–19 October and resolve any permitted deficiency within the official process.
  9. Download the admit card/final status from 26 October.
  10. Keep saved copies of the submitted form, payment proof and uploaded documents.

Seat Position Clarification

AIIMS currently provides a Sponsored/Foreign National seat-position document on the official notice page.

Do not treat Sponsored/Foreign National seats as the general open-category seat matrix. General counselling opportunity analysis should be updated only when the relevant official category-wise seat position is published.

Fees, Stipend and Bond

No common fee, stipend or bond figure should be applied across all participating INIs. These facts can differ by institute, course and candidate category.

Candidates should verify the applicable Part-B prospectus and the institute's official rules before comparing options. HGE should not copy NEET PG/MCC fee, stipend or bond data into the INI-CET pathway.

Admission Strategy

INI-CET and NEET PG are separate admission routes. Candidates eligible for both can keep both options open, but must follow each authority's independent application, examination, seat allocation and reporting rules.

When comparing future allotments, consider branch fit, institute-specific clinical exposure, academics, research, stipend, fees, bond/service conditions, location and long-term career plans. Previous ranks do not guarantee a future allotment.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Assuming a NEET PG application also covers INI-CET
  • Missing the 5:00 PM deadline
  • Reading only Part-A and ignoring institute-specific Part-B rules
  • Treating Sponsored/Foreign National seats as general seats
  • Mixing INI-CET ranks, seats or cutoffs with MCC/NEET PG data
  • Waiting until the last day to upload or correct documents
