The official result contains candidate-level Round 1 versus Round 2 movement, making it especially important for students who opted for upgradation.
IMPORTANT — THIS IS A PROVISIONAL RESULT
The currently published Punjab NEET UG Round 2 result is Provisional.
BFUHS has provided an official objection process before publication of the revised provisional allotment.
Do not treat the present list as the final Round 2 cutoff dataset yet.

14 September 2026 — 4:00 PM
BFUHS has specifically instructed that objections must be submitted through:
Personal appearance at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot
with relevant supporting documents/records.
Objections sent by email will NOT be entertained.
WHEN WILL THE REVISED RESULT COME?
Revised Provisional Round 2 Seat Allotment, if required: 15 September 2026
Candidates should therefore check the BFUHS portal again after the objection process is completed.
EARLY MBBS ROUND 2 TREND
The official allotment shows active movement among Punjab's major Government and Government-quota MBBS colleges.
Examples visible in the official result include:
Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana — Government Quota
Fresh Open-category allotments are visible from very high NEET ranks, including AIR 2,198 and AIR 2,389.
Government Medical College, Patiala
Multiple fresh Government Quota Open allotments are visible around:
AIR 3,541
AIR 4,445
AIR 5,078
AIR 5,112
AIR 5,442
AIR 5,636
Further upgrades into GMC Patiala are also visible from GMC Amritsar, GGS Medical College Faridkot, AIMS Mohali and other seats.
GMC AMRITSAR — ROUND 2 MOVEMENT
The result shows both fresh allotments and upgrades into Government Medical College, Amritsar.
Examples include fresh Government Quota Open allotments around:
AIR 7,995
AIR 15,904
AIR 17,999
AIR 19,696
AIR 21,909
There are also candidates upgrading from GGS Medical College Faridkot and other Government MBBS options.
These examples indicate genuine Round 2 seat movement but must not yet be treated as final closing ranks.
GOVERNMENT MBBS — CATEGORY MOVEMENT
The result also shows category-specific Government MBBS allotments.
Examples include:
EWS allotments at GMC Patiala.
Backward Classes allotments across Government colleges.
PwD MBBS allotments extending to substantially deeper AIR because PwD is a horizontal reservation and must be analysed separately.
HGE should therefore calculate the final cutoff as:
College × Course × Quota × Vertical Category × Applicable Horizontal Claim
—not by one generic closing rank.
PRIVATE / MANAGEMENT MBBS SHOWS MUCH DEEPER MOVEMENT
Private and Management Quota MBBS seats extend to much deeper AIRs than Government/Open MBBS.
The official provisional result contains Management Quota MBBS allotments at colleges including:
Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda
Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Banur
Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar
RIMT Medical College & Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh
Government and Management MBBS admission chances must therefore be analysed separately.
BDS ROUND 2 MOVEMENT IS MUCH DEEPER
BDS allotments extend considerably deeper in NEET AIR.
The official list includes Government and Management BDS allotments beyond:
AIR 4 lakh
AIR 8 lakh
and in some reserved-category combinations even beyond:
AIR 11 lakh
This does not mean every BDS seat is available at those ranks.
Closing rank depends on:
College
Quota
Category
Reservation claim
Candidate preference
MBBS and BDS cutoff analysis must remain completely separate.
IMPORTANT NEW PUNJAB MBBS SEAT UPDATE — RIMT
BFUHS has also issued an important seat-matrix notice for:
RIMT Medical College & Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh
The Government of Punjab has approved an increase in MBBS intake from:
50 Seats → 100 Seats
That means:
+50 additional MBBS seats
The newly increased 50-seat component is distributed as:
Government Quota: 25 seats
Management Quota: 25 seats
BFUHS states that the additional/micro-reserved seats arising from this intake increase that were not part of the earlier matrix will be offered in the subsequent counselling round.
This can materially improve future Punjab private MBBS opportunities.
