What has CENTAC published?
Puducherry’s Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has posted its UG NEET admitted-candidates list for the second round, dated 22 September 2026. It includes MBBS and BDS alongside separately identifiable BAMS and veterinary entries. This is a record of admitted candidates after counselling, not the same thing as the Round 2 allotment result. A candidate shown with FIRST status may have remained admitted from Round 1; SECOND status is reported as such in CENTAC’s list.
Data analysis: MBBS and BDS
Course | FIRST status | SECOND status | Total listed |
|---|---|---|---|
MBBS | 303 | 362 | 665 |
BDS | 20 | 155 | 175 |
MBBS + BDS | 323 | 517 | 840 |
Interpretation: The 27-page PDF contains 840 MBBS/BDS admission entries: 665 MBBS (about 79.2%) and 175 BDS (about 20.8%). Of these, 323 are marked FIRST and 517 SECOND. These are admitted-list entries, not newly added seats, currently available seats or a prediction of Round 3 vacancies. The sum of 840 is MBBS 665 + BDS 175; the percentage denominator is 840.
Quota breakdown (preserving CENTAC’s labels)
Course / official quota label | Listed admissions | Status note |
|---|---|---|
MBBS — Government quota | 411 | 298 FIRST; 113 SECOND |
MBBS — Management quota | 210 | 0 FIRST; 210 SECOND |
MBBS — Management quota (Telugu minority) | 4 | 0 FIRST; 4 SECOND |
MBBS — NRI quota | 40 | 5 FIRST; 35 SECOND |
BDS — Government quota | 77 | 11 FIRST; 66 SECOND |
BDS — Management quota | 98 | 9 FIRST; 89 SECOND |
Reconciliation: MBBS government 411 + management 210 + management (Telugu minority) 4 + NRI 40 = 665. BDS government 77 + management 98 = 175. The minority earmarking remains separate from ordinary management quota. Government, management and NRI are admission-list quota headings; this table does not collapse the applied category, allotted category, domicile/other-state residence or horizontal reservations appearing in candidate rows. Do not use these admitted totals as a new seat matrix.
AYUSH and veterinary are separate
Separate course | Listed admissions | FIRST / SECOND |
|---|---|---|
BAMS — Government quota | 22 | 8 / 14 |
BVSc & AH — NRI quota | 23 | 9 / 14 |
The same CENTAC PDF also lists 22 BAMS government-quota and 23 BVSc & AH NRI-quota admission entries. Together with 840 MBBS/BDS entries, these reconcile to 885 entries across all four course groups. Their course-specific admission routes and eligibility must be checked separately; they are not MBBS/BDS seats.
How to use this list
If you reported and joined: Check your entry, course, institute, quota and reported round/status against the confirmation documents you received. If a material discrepancy appears, contact CENTAC through its official portal/helpdesk; the admitted-list PDF itself gives no new grievance deadline.
If you were allotted but have not confirmed admission: Do not assume this list alone proves or reverses your status. Follow your individual allotment and reporting instructions, and seek clarification from CENTAC.
If you are planning the next round: Wait for a separately published, current CENTAC vacancy/seat matrix and schedule. An unlisted name does not by itself establish why an individual seat is vacant or that it will be offered next round.
Cutoff caution: This is an admitted list, not a newly published category-wise cutoff table. Individual ranks in it should not be represented as official opening/closing cutoffs or used to promise admission; compare a future authority-published cutoff or a properly defined allotment-result analysis with the same college, course, quota and category.
