MCC NEET PG 2026 Revised Matrices: 204 Confirmed Seats Added; Choice Filling Resumed
MCC added 184 AIQ and 20 Central Internal seats during a one-hour Round 1 choice-filling halt; candidates should recheck the replacement matrices and their saved order.
MCC NEET PG 2026 Revised Matrices: 204 Confirmed Seats Added; Choice Filling Resumed
Official update dated 15 October 2026: the Medical Counselling Committee paused Round 1 choice filling from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM to add confirmed seats to the seat matrix. MCC stated that choice filling would resume afterward. Reconciliation of the replacement PDFs confirms 204 additional MD/MS seats: 184 in the All India Quota matrix and 20 in Central Internal Quota.
Doctor action: Reopen the MCC portal, download the current AIQ and Central Internal matrices, search the 13 newly listed institute codes, and revise your choice order if any new option is genuinely acceptable. Do not assume a previously saved list automatically includes newly added choices.
What Changed
Matrix | Earlier | Current | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
All India Quota MD/MS | 13,338 | 13,522 | +184 |
Central Internal Quota MD/MS | 707 | 727 | +20 |
Deemed University matrix | 7,430 | 7,430 | No new change |
DNB matrix | 9,201 | 9,201 | Content unchanged |
Four-matrix total | 30,676 | 30,880 | +204 |
The 30,676 baseline uses the already revised Deemed total of 7,430, not the withdrawn earlier 7,537-seat file. The DNB PDF was replaced, but its 4,487 rows and 9,201-seat content reconcile unchanged; this alert therefore does not treat it as a new DNB event.

What Doctors Should Do Now
Download the current PDFs: do not rely on the earlier AIQ or Central Internal files saved on 14 October.
Search by MCC institute code: use the 13 codes in the table to avoid name and spelling variations.
Check eligibility first: the 184 AIQ seats and 20 Central Internal seats follow different quota rules.
Rebuild the preference order: place each acceptable new option where it genuinely belongs; do not append it automatically at the bottom.
Verify the live portal: confirm that each desired seat is visible for your eligible category and that the saved order persists.
Lock only after review: retain screenshots or the downloaded choice list as proof.
College, Hospital and Financial Decision Support
The replacement matrices publish seat availability, not annual tuition, total-course cost, deposits, hostel/mess charges, stipend, service bond, discontinuation penalty, bed strength, case load or hands-on exposure. No fee, stipend or bond change is stated in this event. Preserve existing verified financial fields and check the current official institute or government document before ranking a new choice.
For clinical branches, compare emergency, ICU, OT/procedure volume, referral load, resident autonomy, supervision and workload. For pre- and para-clinical branches, compare laboratory infrastructure, teaching responsibility, research support and career fit. Do not rank by seat count or college name alone.
Admission remains non-guaranteed and depends on NEET PG AIR, category, quota, domicile/internal eligibility, choice order, budget, available seats and round movement.
