Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 State Merit List Correction: Email Request by 23 September, 6 PM

JCECEB has opened a specific correction request window for candidates whose names are in the Jharkhand State Merit Lists published on 7 September 2026. Send a fresh, documented correction request by 23 September 2026, 6:00 PM IST if you meet the notice conditions. This is not the separate Round 3 new-registration deadline.

What Has Happened

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) issued Advertisement No. 87 dated 21 September 2026 for NEET UG 2026 state merit-list corrections. It covers the board's State Quota counselling for MBBS and BDS, with BHMS mentioned under the same state merit process but treated as a separate course route.

The Board says it will consider only representations allowed by clause 7 of Advertisement No. 47 dated 6 August 2026. It also clarifies that category certificates for the specified state categories must be issued by an officer not below Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Jharkhand State. Do not assume a lower-level certificate will be accepted.

JCECEB states that requests after the deadline or without the required supporting documents will not be entertained under any circumstances. Applications received will be scrutinised; submitting one does not automatically change your merit entry.

What Candidates Should Do Now

1. Check whether your name appears in the 7 September State Merit List and read the 21 September notice plus clause 7 of the original advertisement.
2. Confirm that your correction falls within clause 7. For a category claim, verify the issuing authority on the certificate.
3. Send one clear email to the address in the official notice during 22–23 September, with your details, the exact correction sought and legible evidence. Keep the sent-email record.
4. Watch the official JCECEB site for its decision or a revised merit list; do not presume that a request has been accepted.

Important Distinction from Round 3 Registration

JCECEB's earlier revised Round 3 schedule gave new State Quota applications until 24 September 2026, 6:00 PM. That is a different action and deadline. Candidates already in the 7 September State Merit List were told not to apply again for Round 3 merely because that registration window exists. The 23 September correction email is for eligible existing merit-list candidates with a documented correction request. Do not substitute one process for the other.
