Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: 714 Candidates Removed from Merit List after Non-Reporting or Cancellation

What has happened?

The Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) posted two official Round 2 MBBS/BDS lists on 19 September 2026. One identifies candidates whose refundable security deposit was forfeited and who were removed from the merit list because they did not report; the other identifies candidates with the same stated outcome after cancelling their Round 2 admission. Check the specific official list, not a rumour, before concluding that your own status changed.

Who is affected?

Official reason: Non-reporting in Round 2

  • Candidates listed: 711
  • Medical (MBBS) entries: 439
  • Dental (BDS) entries: 272
  • Official seat type GQ: 383
  • Official seat type MQ: 322
  • Official seat type NQ: 6

Official reason: Cancellation of Round 2 admission

  • Candidates listed: 3
  • Medical (MBBS) entries: 3
  • Dental (BDS) entries: 0
  • Official seat type GQ: 2
  • Official seat type MQ: 0
  • Official seat type NQ: 1

Combined, distinct candidates: 714

  • MBBS: 442
  • BDS: 272
  • GQ: 385
  • MQ: 322
  • NQ: 7

HGE counted the numbered records in both official PDFs and checked that the candidate roll numbers do not overlap. These are candidate-outcome counts, not a vacancy or seat-matrix count. Do not assume 714 seats have been returned to counselling or will appear in the next round.

What should candidates do now?

  1. Open the non-reporting list and cancellation list through the official links below. Search using your own application details and compare the exact roll number; names can resemble each other.
  2. If your details appear unexpectedly, preserve your reporting/cancellation records and contact the official admission committee promptly through its published channels. The PDFs do not state a new appeal window, reinstatement process or deadline; do not rely on an assumed one.
  3. If you are not listed, do not infer a changed merit status from someone else's record. Continue checking your own official candidate account and later round notices.
  4. For future rounds, read the security-deposit, reporting and cancellation rules *before* accepting a seat or making a decision. The consequences depend on the authority's rules and your exact stage.

Hire Guide Education analysis

The non-reporting group accounts for 711 of 714 records; the other 3 follow cancellation. Their course and seat-type distribution differs, so we keep them distinct. In the non-reporting PDF, the category column includes OP, SE, ST, SC, EW, MQ, NRI and SEPH; this column should not be confused with the separate GQ/MQ/NQ seat-type field. The cancellation PDF has two ST entries on GQ and one NRI entry on NQ. Do not collapse vertical category, PwD/horizontal notation and quota into one label.

There is no new cutoff to derive responsibly from these forfeiture lists, and no published vacancy number in them. Admission in a later round still depends on rank, category, quota, choices, official vacancies and round movement. No admission is guaranteed.

Important warning

A listing can affect both deposited money and merit-list participation. This alert reports the authority's published list; it does not decide an individual dispute or promise restoration. Do not share another candidate's personal details from the PDFs.
