Gujarat AYUSH UG 2026 Round 1 BAMS/BHMS choices close 23 September at 10:00 AM

Gujarat BAMS/BHMS Round 1 choices close 23 September, 10 AM; outside-Gujarat eligible candidates use the separate 15% SFI AIQ route after prior registration.

Gujarat AYUSH UG 2026 Round 1 BAMS/BHMS choices close 23 September at 10:00 AM

Gujarat's Admission Committee for Professional Under Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) opened Round 1 online choice filling for eligible BAMS and BHMS candidates on 19 September 2026. Its advertisement sets the deadline at 23 September 2026, 10:00 AM IST. Filled choices will be displayed until 12:00 noon that day; noon is not a later deadline for entering choices.

Can a candidate from outside Gujarat apply for the 15% AIQ?

Yes, subject to the published eligibility and completion of registration/verification. Gujarat's separate 15% All India Quota in self-financed BAMS/BHMS colleges (15% SFI AIQ) registration advertisement expressly covers candidates who passed the qualifying Class 12 science examination from a school anywhere in India, from an Indian examination board, and who qualify the NEET UG 2026 all-India rank and applicable admission rules. Gujarat domicile is not stated as a condition for this distinct private-college AIQ route. This does not automatically confer eligibility for Gujarat's GQ/MQ/NRI state route.

The published AIQ PIN purchase and online registration ended 6 September 2026 (PIN purchase 2:00 PM; registration 4:00 PM), with document verification scheduled through 7 September, 4:00 PM. Therefore an out-of-state candidate should submit Round 1 AIQ choices now only if already registered, verified and included in the relevant eligible merit list. This choice notice does not reopen registration; do not assume a new applicant can enter Round 1 today. Check the AIQ merit/eligibility list and candidate login.

Two Gujarat routes, two choice submissions

State route: ACPUGMEC handles government, grant-in-aid and self-financed BAMS/BHMS colleges' government quota (GQ), management quota (MQ) and NRI quota (NQ) through the Gujarat state AYUSH portal.

15% SFI AIQ route: ACPUGMEC handles the 15% all-India quota in Gujarat self-financed BAMS/BHMS colleges through a separate Gujarat AIQ portal. An eligible candidate considering both routes must check both sets of eligibility rules and submit choices separately where qualified. Submission in one portal is not submission in the other.

AACCC central route: AACCC handles its own national AYUSH AIQ institutions separately. Its 2026 information bulletin explicitly says AIQ seats in private AYUSH institutes are counselled by the respective State/UT authority. Do not confuse Gujarat's 15% SFI AIQ login with AACCC's central login.

Dates and what they mean

Gujarat Round 1 choices: 19 September → 23 September 2026, 10:00 AM IST → Submit and confirm a properly ordered list in the relevant Gujarat portal before 10:00 AM.

Display of choices: 23 September, until 12:00 noon IST → Review the display; the official advertisement does not grant an additional choice-entry period.

Revised State/UT AYUSH framework, Round 1: 17–30 September 2026 counselling process; last joining 1 October → This is a broad framework, not an extension of the Gujarat choice deadline. Follow ACPUGMEC for Gujarat-specific result, payment and reporting instructions.

AACCC central Round 1: Its separate reporting notice covers 17–23 September, ending 5:30 PM on 23 September → This applies to AACCC allottees, not to Gujarat's 10:00 AM choice submission.

Later State/UT framework: Round 2 process 3–9 October, last joining 14 October; Round 3 process 24–29 October, last joining 3 November; stray counselling/seat allotment 12–27 November, last joining 30 November 2026. The overarching AYUSH UG admission cut-off is 30 November 2026. Check future state notices for the actual activity dates.

What candidates should do

  1. Confirm that your name/status appears on the appropriate state or SFI AIQ eligible merit list. Out-of-state applicants should use the separate SFI AIQ route only if its prior registration and verification requirements were met.
  2. Rank eligible BAMS/BHMS institutions by genuine preference after checking course, location, quota, tuition fees, permission and affiliation. Compare GQ, MQ, NQ and SFI AIQ terms separately.
  3. Submit choices in each applicable Gujarat portal before 23 September, 10:00 AM IST and save proof. Follow the portal's own confirmation steps. The advertisement does not establish a later auto-lock or editing window.
  4. Monitor ACPUGMEC's state and AIQ pages for the result and reporting notice; the framework does not announce a Gujarat-specific result date.

ACPUGMEC says options may be visible for all Ayurveda and Homoeopathy colleges, but only seats of colleges with the relevant NCISM/NCH permission, any required conditional compliance and university affiliation by the choice-filling cut-off can enter allotment. A displayed college is not a guaranteed available seat.

Data Analysis

Route: Gujarat state GQ/MQ/NRI BAMS/BHMS Authority: ACPUGMEC Portal: Gujarat state AYUSH candidate portal Out-of-state implication: Do not assume eligibility from the 15% SFI AIQ rule. Action: Eligible merit-listed candidates submit Round 1 choices by 23 September, 10:00 AM.

Route: 15% AIQ in Gujarat self-financed BAMS/BHMS colleges Authority: ACPUGMEC Portal: Separate Gujarat 15% SFI AIQ candidate portal Out-of-state implication: Indian-school candidates outside Gujarat can be eligible if they meet NEET and other rules, and have completed the earlier registration/verification. Action: Already eligible merit-listed candidates submit separate Round 1 choices by the same deadline.

Route: AACCC central AYUSH AIQ Authority: AACCC Portal: AACCC UG counselling Out-of-state implication: This is a different AIQ pool; central Round 1 allottees follow AACCC reporting. Action: Do not substitute AACCC registration or reporting for Gujarat SFI AIQ choices.

This comparison describes routes, not a seat matrix. The cited Round 1 choice advertisement does not establish a trustworthy BAMS/BHMS seat total, college-wise vacancies, category distribution or cutoffs, so none is inferred. The Gujarat page lists college-wise fees, including a BHMS file marked updated 21 September 2026; check the specific college, course and quota before ranking. AACCC's central reservation and forfeiture rules should not be imposed automatically on Gujarat's state process.
