What has happened?
Chhattisgarh has published its provisional Round 2 MBBS/BDS allotment list and the physical scrutiny/admission instructions. Candidates with fresh or upgraded allotments should check their individual result and complete the applicable steps. The result also lists retained Round 1 seats; these are not new Round 2 allotments.

- Candidate action: Check the centre for your allotted institute in the official notice and take the required original documents
Activity: Admission at the allotted institute
- Deadline: 22 September 2026, 5:00 PM (server time)
- Mode: Physical/offline
- Candidate action: Complete joining where applicable after scrutiny
The notice treats holidays during this window as working days.
Who is affected and what to do now?
- Fresh allotment: Verify the course, institute, quota and category on your allotment; attend physical scrutiny before 4:00 PM on 22 September. Complete applicable admission before 5:00 PM.
- Upgrade: Obtain a relieving letter from the previously joined institute and complete the new admission on time. A repeat medical examination is unnecessary if you already obtained the prescribed-format medical certificate, according to the notice.
- Round 1 seat retained without upgrade: The notice says you need not participate again in this round's admission process.
- No Round 2 allotment: Do not report as if allotted; follow the official portal for later rounds.
Critical rule: Scrutiny is compulsory for all allotted candidates, including private medical/dental allotments. The official notice distinguishes admission: joining is compulsory for an allotted government medical college seat, but not compulsory for private medical, government dental or private dental college allotments. Even where joining is optional, scrutiny and eligibility at scrutiny are compulsory. Failing to appear for scrutiny after allotment can exclude a candidate from counselling/admission in this academic session. The notice also warns that not joining or resigning after Round 2 or later allotment can forfeit the deposited registration amount under its cited rules. Read the exact official wording for your situation.

These count candidates' recorded vertical categories, not the seats' allotted categories. Allotted category, female earmarking, PH/PwD, FF and EX are separate official fields. Never combine them into a single simplified quota.
Cutoff derived from the official allotment result: The observed AIR among these 963 MBBS allotments spans 3,518–11,91,448, and among 360 BDS allotments spans 83,249–11,51,707. These extremes mix colleges, quotas, allotted categories and earmarking; they are not general admission cutoffs. At Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, the 25 MBBS allotment entries span AIR 3,518–7,02,791 across mixed groups. This is not an open-category cutoff. For a useful comparison, keep college, course, quota, allotted category, horizontal reservation and round the same.
Admission strategy and common mistakes
Check your own allotment and exact scrutiny venue first. Keep evidence of scrutiny, payment, relieving and joining. Do not count retained seats as fresh offers, treat mixed-category AIR extremes as your cutoff, or mistake optional joining for optional scrutiny. Verify fees and obligations from the authority/college before payment. Admission depends on rank, category, quota, choices, vacancies and round movement; no result guarantees future admission.
