What Candidates Should Do Now

Fresh allotment

  1. Download the official allotment result and individual allotment letter.
  2. Confirm your college, course, quota, category and remark.
  3. Attend the designated physical scrutiny venue with all original documents.
  4. Complete admission at the allotted institute by 22 September, 5:00 PM, wherever admission is mandatory/applicable.
  5. Keep signed receipts, scrutiny acknowledgement and admission proof.

Upgraded candidate

  1. Obtain the relieving letter from the previously admitted institute.
  2. Report to the new allotted institute/official scrutiny centre.
  3. Complete the new admission process before the deadline.
  4. If a valid medical certificate was already issued in the required format, the notice says another medical examination is not required.
  5. Do not assume the previous seat remains available after upgrade.

Round 1 seat retained / not upgraded

The official notice says candidates whose seat is shown as retained do not need to participate again in this Round 2 admission process. Preserve the existing admission documents and verify the retained status in the result.

No allotment

Do not report merely because your name appears in a merit list. Monitor the official site for the next round, vacancy position and eligibility instructions.

Scrutiny Venue Rule

  • Candidates allotted government medical or government dental colleges complete scrutiny/admission at the allotted institution.
  • Candidates allotted private medical or private dental colleges must follow the designated government scrutiny-centre mapping given in the official notice.
  • Check the notice carefully before travelling.

Important Rules

All allotted candidates covered by the rules must personally complete document scrutiny by the stated deadline. Failure to appear for required scrutiny can make the candidate ineligible and remove them from the current counselling/admission process.

The notice also states that in Round 2 and later rounds, failure to take admission after allotment or surrender after admission can lead to forfeiture of the deposited registration amount.

Hire Guide Education Analysis

The provisional list contains 2,099 records, but this includes 776 retained Round 1 seats. The genuinely new Round 2 movement is represented by 1,084 fresh allotments and 239 upgrades.

MBBS accounts for 963 of the 1,323 fresh/upgraded outcomes, while BDS accounts for 360. These are not final authority-published cutoffs.

The PDF includes college, course, quota, category, gender, domicile, NEET rank/score, state rank and result remark. It can support precise college/category/quota cutoff extraction. Every derived number should be labelled:

“Cutoff derived from the official allotment result.”

Admission Strategy

  • A preferred fresh seat: complete scrutiny and admission promptly; do not wait for the last hour.
  • An upgraded seat: secure the relieving letter first and move to the new institute within time.
  • A retained seat: keep the existing admission safe and verify that the result says “Not Upgraded (Seat Retained).”
  • Private or NRI/management route: verify the exact quota, tuition fee and total affordability before final admission.
  • BDS candidates: do not judge options using MBBS ranks; dental movement and seat economics differ.
  • Admission depends on rank, category, quota, choices, vacancies and round movement. No allotment or future upgrade is guaranteed.

Common Mistakes

  • Reporting at the wrong scrutiny centre.
  • Reaching after the 4:00 PM scrutiny cutoff.
  • Treating the 5:00 PM admission deadline as the scrutiny deadline.
  • Upgraded candidates arriving without a relieving letter.
  • Ignoring the result remark “Fresh Allotment,” “Upgraded” or “Not Upgraded (Seat Retained).”
  • Believing an unofficial message instead of the CGDME notice.

  1. DATA ANALYSIS

The 2,099-row result reconciles as 1,084 fresh + 239 upgraded + 776 retained.

Fresh/upgraded course reconciliation:

  • MBBS: 728 fresh + 235 upgraded = 963
  • BDS: 356 fresh + 4 upgraded = 360
  • Total: 1,323

Do not combine the 776 retained records with fresh Round 2 allotments when reporting Round 2 seat movement.

  1. CANDIDATE ADMISSION STRATEGY

Preferred seat: complete scrutiny/admission now. Upgrade: obtain relieving letter and join the new institute. Retained seat: no repeat Round 2 admission process required, according to the notice. No allotment: await the next official vacancy/schedule. Fee-sensitive candidate: verify quota and full payable amount before admission.
