Bihar UGMAC AYUSH Counselling 2026: Registration and Choices Open, BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Seat Matrix Released
BCECEB says online registration and application-cum-choice filling began on 21 September 2026. This is the separate Bihar BAMS/BHMS/BUMS route, not MBBS/BDS Round 2.
What Happened and Who Is Affected
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) published its AYUSH notice on 18 September 2026, inviting qualified and eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates for the first and second rounds. Candidates must check the seat matrix before submitting their application and choices. Eligibility and fee conditions are in the detailed advertisement and prospectus, not fully in the short notice.
Important Dates
Activity: Registration, application data editing and choice submission for Rounds 1 and 2
- Opens: 21 September 2026
- Closes: The accessible short notice does not specify a last date or time. Confirm the deadline in the detailed BCECEB advertisement and live portal; do not apply the separate MBBS/BDS deadline.
Data Analysis: Official AYUSH Seat Matrix
The three-page BCECEB matrix lists 888 sanctioned/college-position seats. That is a sum of listed institution totals, not 888 currently available seats in one quota. Government BUMS includes 13 seats marked for a separate Pre-Tib route. Its private BUMS table has a separate Pre-Tib remark that needs careful interpretation; do not infer that all listed seats are in the same candidate pool.
Course: BAMS
- Government-listed total: 163
- Private-listed total: 446
- Combined listed total: 609
Course: BHMS
- Government-listed total: 75
- Private-listed total: None shown
- Combined listed total: 75
Course: BUMS
- Government-listed total: 125, including the 13 Pre-Tib seats
- Private-listed total: 79
- Combined listed total: 204
Chart — shares of 888 listed seats; each █ is approximately 30 seats:
- BAMS 609 (68.6%): ████████████████████
- BHMS 75 (8.4%): ███
- BUMS 204 (23.0%): ███████
The exact values above, not rounded bar lengths, govern this comparison. The matrix shows 363 government and 525 private listed seats. State quota, AIQ, vertical categories, female-earmarked positions and disabled quota (DQ) must remain distinct; BCECEB explicitly says DQ seats are included in total seats, not an additional supply.
What Candidates Should Do
- Read both BCECEB advertisements and the prospectus. Check eligibility, fees and the current end time before registering.
- Reach the AYUSH login through BCECEB's official website, complete registration and payment as instructed, and save proof.
- Match your course, college, quota and category to the actual matrix columns before ordering choices.
- Prefer only colleges you would genuinely join after checking their official fees and reporting obligations.
HGE Admission Strategy and Cautions
More listed BAMS seats do not mean every candidate can access them. Admission depends on NEET rank, eligibility, category, quota, choices, vacancies and movement between rounds. A seat-position total is not a vacancy list or admission guarantee. Hire Guide Education can help with documents, college comparisons, fee checks and responsible choice ordering.
