WBMCC has published the complete Round 1 PG medical matrix with 1,459 seats. Verified candidates can fill and lock choices until 1 November, 12 Midnight, as per server time.

West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has published the complete Round 1 seat matrix for NEET PG 2026 and the list of successfully verified candidates. Choice filling and locking is scheduled from 4:00 PM on 30 October 2026 to 12 Midnight on 1 November 2026, as per server time. The signed schedule does not name a time zone.
Verified candidate action
Only candidates who registered, paid the counselling fee and were successfully verified and allowed can exercise choices.
Open the WBMCC PG Medical page and use Candidate Registration & Login.
Add all acceptable institute–course choices, place them in true preference order, save, then lock only after the final check.
Once choices are locked, the manual says they cannot be altered. Download and retain the locked-choice letter.
Do not assume all 1,459 seats are visible to you: the portal filters choices by route, quota, category and candidate eligibility.
Complete matrix audit
HGE independently extracted all 878 rows from the 121-page operative matrix. Every category-column sum matched its row total, and the complete matrix reconciled to 1,459 seats.

These are availability totals across published quotas, not demand or cutoff rankings. A larger seat count does not guarantee a lower closing rank, and a candidate may see only a subset of these seats.
What changes for my rank, branch and category?
Open candidates: compare Open Seat Quota rows first; add management choices only if your registered route and budget make them acceptable.
In-service candidates: keep the ordinary In-Service Quota separate from the In-Service DNB Quota. The WBMCC page states that state-sponsored DNB seats are restricted to eligible in-service candidates.
NRI candidates: only 59 NRI-labelled seats appear in the operative matrix; use only choices enabled by your verified NRI status.
PwD candidates: read PwD as horizontal within UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST; do not compare the PwD subset as a separate vertical category.
Choice order: rank by genuine preference, not by perceived probability. Put an ambitious but acceptable option above a safer option; the system considers the highest available choice in your submitted order.

Open the live matrix and filter mentally by your route, quota, category and course eligibility.
Check fees, bond, stipend and institutional conditions separately before placing any private or NRI option; this alert does not publish unsupported financial values.
Save after edits, review the full order, lock before the official deadline and download the locked-choice letter.
