UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 Schedule Released: Registration Opens 21 October
Uttar Pradesh DGME has published the Round 1 counselling schedule for UP NEET PG 2026 for MD/MS/Diploma/DNB admissions. Online registration is scheduled to open on 21 October 2026 at 2:00 PM. Registration closes on 26 October 2026 at 11:00 AM, while payment of the registration fee and security fee remains available until 26 October 2026 at 2:00 PM.
The authority has also listed separate eligible-candidate documents for PMHS-category candidates seeking MD/MS courses and PMHS-category candidates seeking DNB courses. PMHS candidates should check the relevant list on the official portal before proceeding. These lists establish candidate eligibility for the stated pathway; they should not be treated as a seat matrix or as a guarantee of allotment.

What changed and why it matters
The Round 1 process has moved from brochure-stage preparation to a dated, future-actionable schedule. Candidates now have fixed windows for registration, payment, merit publication, choice filling, result and admission. The registration and payment cut-offs are different on 26 October, so candidates should not assume that one deadline applies to both steps.
The PMHS eligibility lists are important for in-service candidates because MD/MS and DNB eligibility has been published through separate documents. Candidates should use the list relevant to their course pathway and immediately raise any discrepancy only through the authority’s official process.

Prepare documents and payment arrangements; do not wait for the final hours of the window.

Counselling guidance
Choice order should reflect the candidate’s own clinical goals, course recognition, case exposure, teaching quality, workload, location, total financial burden and applicable service obligations. A published eligibility list does not confirm a seat, and an NMC/NBEMS permission should not be treated as counselling availability unless the seat appears in the official Round 1 matrix.
