SMIMS MD/MS 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule Published
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences has issued the Round 1 online counselling schedule for MD/MS admission 2026. The official schedule is dated 13 October 2026.
Immediate action: complete the SMIMS MD/MS application or rectification by 25 October 2026 at midnight. Choice filling then opens at 9:00 AM on 27 October and closes at midnight on 28 October.

What Changed
The earlier application notice said counselling dates would be announced later. SMIMS has now fixed the Round 1 choice-filling, allotment, result, payment and reporting dates. This is a new schedule, not a revised seat matrix.

Choice-Filling Strategy
Prepare a preference order before the portal opens. Compare branches separately and weigh clinical exposure, case mix, hands-on opportunity, academics, workload, total fees, stipend, service or discontinuation obligations, location and career fit. Rank only choices you are willing to accept under the official rules. A schedule does not guarantee allotment; outcome depends on NEET PG rank, category, quota, eligibility, preference order and available seats.
Result, Payment and Reporting
SMIMS states that the Round 1 result will be published online on 31 October. Candidates allotted a seat should follow the official payment instructions between 31 October and 4 November and complete physical reporting by 10 November. The institute expressly says that allotment is provisional until physical reporting and document verification are completed.
What This Notice Does Not Change
The schedule does not publish a seat matrix, new seats, withdrawn seats, branch changes, cutoffs, fees, stipend, bond terms or recognition status. Those fields must not be changed without a separate official source.
