DME Assam has revised the 2026 postgraduate medical seat matrix by adding seven MD Clinical Haematology seats across three government medical colleges. The official educational notice is dated 3 October 2026.
Doctor action: If Clinical Haematology is in your preference set, review Gauhati Medical College, Assam Medical College and Silchar Medical College. Add or re-rank them only when the corresponding seats appear in the live counselling choice list, and verify the quota/category split before locking choices.
What changed
The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam stated that the three Clinical Haematology courses had been recognised under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Letter No. U.12012/74/2023-ME-I dated 6 August 2025. Assam has now decided to include the following seats in the PG seat matrix for the 2026 session.
