Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026: Management Quota Phase 2 Web Options, Seat Matrix & Eligibility

KNRUHS has opened second-phase web options for Telangana MBBS/BDS management-quota admissions for 2026–27. Eligible candidates can submit choices from 2:00 PM IST on 22 September until 2:00 PM IST on 24 September 2026 at the official management-quota portal. The authority also published its second-phase vacancy matrix and first-phase non-reporting list on 22 September.

Action now: If you are eligible, review the new vacancy matrix, submit your own ordered web options by 24 September, 2:00 PM IST, and retain a printout of saved options. A current first-phase seat is automatically cancelled if you receive a new allotment in this phase.

Phase 2 choices must be exercised on the portal; do not assume Phase 1 preferences alone will be processed.

Data Analysis: second-phase vacancies

The official matrix lists 28 medical colleges and 11 dental colleges. The following are sums of its numeric vacancy cells, not sanctioned intake, guaranteed allotments or a prior-round change. CAT-B local, CAT-B unreserved (UR) and CAT-C/NRI remain separate official columns.

*Important limit: The Army College of Dental Sciences CAT-B local cell is printed as an asterisk, not a number. The numeric BDS and combined sums therefore exclude any unquantified seats represented by that symbol. Its 12 printed CAT-C/NRI seats are included in the 54 BDS NRI figure. Do not treat 854 as a fully reconciled authority-declared grand total or infer eligibility for Army College from this sum; the notice reserves its management seats for eligible wards of Army personnel under AWES rules.

Among listed medical colleges, the largest numeric vacancy rows are Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences: 110 (8 local, 89 UR, 13 NRI); Nova Institute: 54 (12, 4, 38); and Mahavir Institute: 42 (22, 4, 16). In BDS, Thirumala Institute: 34 (14, 5, 15) and Meghana Institute: 26 (9, 5, 12) have the largest printed numeric rows. These are vacancy snapshots and may change through sliding; Neelima's allocation follows its separate private-university framework.

What this means: The published numeric MBBS opportunities exceed numeric BDS opportunities, but choice quality depends on your category, affordability and willingness to join—not on the combined total. KNRUHS says candidates may include colleges they genuinely want even where the initial matrix shows zero, because sliding can create vacancies. It does not limit the number of choices.

Category, fees and consequences

  • For ordinary CAT-B management seats, the notice states 85% local Telangana reservation and 15% all-India-open seats; candidates are considered only for registered/eligible B and C/NRI categories. Do not automatically apply that split to Neelima, whose distribution is separately governed.

  • Private minority medical-college management seats are reserved for Muslim-minority candidates, subject to the notice's final-phase rule. Army College of Dental Sciences has its own wards-of-Army-personnel restriction.

  • The university fee payable on allotment is MBBS ₹1,00,000 (B) or ₹2,00,000 (C/NRI); BDS ₹40,000 (B) or ₹80,000 (C/NRI). This is distinct from college tuition, which is paid at the college under the cited Telangana fee order. The notice specifies Neelima MBBS tuition of ₹16,50,000 per annum (B) and ₹24,75,000 per annum (C/NRI). The university fee is non-refundable under the notice.

  • Choosing and receiving a new Phase 2 seat automatically cancels the Phase 1 seat. Failure to join a seat allotted from your choices bars later web-option phases under this notice. It states a ₹20 lakh discontinuation penalty after free exit for admitted candidates who discontinue. Check the applicable rules and affordability before saving a choice.

Candidate checklist

  1. Confirm you appear in the management-quota final merit list/addenda, exercised Phase 1 options, and are eligible for the chosen B and/or C/NRI category.

  2. Review the 22 September vacancy matrix and first-phase non-reporting list, including college-specific restrictions and fees.

  3. Use the official portal to submit as many genuinely acceptable options as you wish in true priority order by 24 September, 2:00 PM IST; keep the saved-options printout.

  4. If allotted, check the portal, pay the specified university fee to download the allotment order, and report to the college by the date shown there with original certificates, applicable bonds and college fees. The notice does not provide a universal reporting deadline.

A merit position or a listed vacancy does not guarantee allotment. Hire Guide Education can help eligible families compare college costs and categories, interpret the matrix, prepare documents and order practical choices, while the official KNRUHS portal and notice remain authoritative.
