regarding extension of the PwBD Eligibility Certificate upload timeline.

Who Needs to Take Action?

This applies to candidates who:

• Applied for Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admission 2026-27
• Claimed the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category
• Need to upload the prescribed Eligibility Certificate

What Certificate Is Required?

Candidates must obtain the:

PwBD Eligibility Certificate from an approved Medical Assessment Board

Tamil Nadu has specifically referred candidates to Medical Assessment Boards at:

• Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai
• Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital, Thanjavur
• Madurai Medical College and Hospital, Madurai
• Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, Coimbatore

Revised Deadline

11 August 2026 — 5:00 PM

This replaces the previous 8 August 2026 deadline.

What Candidates Should Do

1. Obtain/check the required PwBD Eligibility Certificate.
2. Open the official Tamil Nadu PwBD portal.
3. Login using your application credentials.
4. Upload the Eligibility Certificate clearly.
5. Verify that the uploaded file is readable.
6. Complete submission before 11 August at 5 PM.
7. Save proof/screenshot of successful submission.

Important

Do not rely only on:

• UDID card
• Previous disability certificate
• General medical certificate

where the Selection Committee requires the specific PwBD Eligibility Certificate from an approved Medical Assessment Board.
