Tamil Nadu Selection Committee has clarified that MBBS/BDS applicants do not need to upload the NEET UG 2026 scorecard. Candidate scores will be taken directly from NTA and DGHS data.

The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has issued Notification No. 008 dated 23 July 2026 with an important clarification for MBBS and BDS applicants.
Candidates were concerned about whether the NEET UG 2026 scorecard had to be uploaded separately with the application. The Selection Committee has now clarified that this is not required.
What Changed
- Candidates need not upload the NEET UG 2026 scorecard.
- Tamil Nadu Selection Committee will obtain candidates' NEET scores from NTA and DGHS data.
- Students should therefore not worry if a separate NEET scorecard upload option was not available during application.
Who Is Affected
This clarification applies to candidates who applied for Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2026–27 admission, including applicable:
- Government Quota
- Management Quota
- Minority Quota
- NRI Quota
What Students Should Do Now
- Keep your NEET UG 2026 scorecard safely for future counselling and verification.
- Do not attempt to send or upload the scorecard through any unofficial link.
- Keep your NEET application number, roll number and personal details consistent with the application.
- Continue checking the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee portal for:
- Application scrutiny
- Eligibility/ineligible candidate list
- Correction or grievance facility
- Merit list
- Counselling schedule
- Choice filling
⚠️ Important: “No need to upload” does not mean the NEET scorecard is unnecessary for counselling. Candidates should still keep the official scorecard downloaded and safely stored for future verification and admission reporting.

The application window has now closed.
This new notification is a candidate-data clarification, not an extension of the application deadline.
