MP Medical Admission Rules 2026 May Change: Stricter NRI Proof and Online CLC Proposed
Reports indicate that Madhya Pradesh may introduce separate MBBS and PG admission rules, stricter NRI blood-relation and legal-guardian verification, and online college-level counselling. Official MP DME notification is awaited.
Reports published on 15 July 2026 indicate that the Madhya Pradesh government is preparing substantial changes to medical admission rules for the 2026–27 academic session.
According to the reports, Madhya Pradesh may introduce separate admission regulations for MBBS and postgraduate medical courses. The proposed framework may also tighten eligibility verification for NRI-quota admissions.
NRI-sponsored candidates may be required to establish a genuine blood relationship with the sponsor and submit documentary proof that the sponsor is a lawful guardian under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890. Colleges or counselling authorities may conduct additional verification before confirming NRI-category admission.
The state is also reportedly considering an online college-level counselling process for medical seats remaining vacant after regular centralised counselling rounds. Rules relating to seat blocking, admission bonds and penalties for leaving a course may also be clarified.
Important: These developments have been reported by media sources, but Hire Guide Education has not yet located a final notification or admission-rule document on the official MP DME or MP Online counselling portal. Candidates should treat this as an early policy update and wait for the official rules before taking action.

NRI sponsor’s passport, visa and overseas residence evidence. Documents proving the candidate–sponsor relationship. Birth certificates and family-link documents. Sponsorship and financial-support affidavits. Legal-guardianship documents, where applicable. Any additional documents prescribed in the final MP DME notice.
