MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Revised Provisional Result Released

Important: MCC has changed the Round 1 provisional allotment result published earlier. Every allotted candidate should check the revised result again.

MCC says the result was revised because of an error in uploading a PwD Certificate by a Primary Assessment Centre.

What Changed?

The Medical Counselling Committee has issued Notice No. 12 dated 21 August 2026 and uploaded a fresh Revised Provisional Result for UG Counselling Round 1.

The earlier provisional allotment should therefore no longer be treated as the latest Round 1 result.

Reason Given by MCC

MCC has officially stated that the revision became necessary because of an error relating to the uploading of a PwD certificate by a Primary Assessment Centre.

Because allotments are interconnected, students should not assume that only the concerned PwD candidate needs to check the result.

All candidates should verify their revised allotment.

Critical Deadline — 22 August, 8:00 AM

If you find any discrepancy in the revised result, MCC has allowed candidates to raise it only up to:

8:00 AM on 22 August 2026

The grievance must be submitted through the:

Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System available in the MCC Candidate Login Portal.

Do not rely only on email or a telephone call when MCC has specifically prescribed the candidate-login grievance system.

Do NOT Report to the College Yet

MCC has clearly said that this is still a:

Revised Provisional Result

It is:

• indicative in nature
• subject to change
• not a final right over the allotted seat

MCC has specifically advised candidates to approach the allotted college/institute only after declaration of the Final Result.

Important for Candidates Whose Quota or Category Changed

The revised result itself contains an important instruction.

If your:

• institute remains the same, and
• course remains the same, but
• allotted category or quota has changed,

you may need an online-generated relieving letter and a fresh admission letter for the changed category/quota.

Once the Final Result and reporting process become active, carefully follow MCC's instructions before completing admission.

HGE Analysis — What Students Should Check

1. Compare Your Earlier and Revised Allotment

Check:

• allotted institute
• course
• allotted quota
• allotted category
• candidate category
• allotment remarks

Do not check only whether the college name is the same.

A quota/category change can affect your admission record even when your college does not change.

2. PwD Candidates Have the Highest Immediate Priority

The official reason for revision is a PwD certificate upload error.

PwD candidates should therefore recheck:

• PwD category shown in the result
• allotted category
• allotted institute
• quota
• whether their allotment has changed

If something appears incorrect, use MCC's grievance portal before 8:00 AM on 22 August.

3. Non-PwD Candidates Should Also Recheck

One corrected allocation can potentially affect downstream seat allocation.

Therefore, HGE recommends that every candidate who participated in MCC Round 1 download/check the revised result, even if they do not belong to PwD category.

4. Do Not Make a Reporting Decision From the Old PDF

The earlier provisional result has now been superseded by this revised provisional result.

Do not travel to a college or take an admission decision based solely on the earlier PDF.

Wait for MCC's Final Round 1 Result.

HGE Cutoff & Data Analysis Warning

This revision is very important for counselling-data quality.

Any cutoff file extracted from the earlier provisional result must now be marked:

SUPERSEDED — DO NOT USE AS FINAL MCC ROUND 1 CUTOFF

The revised PDF contains updated rank, quota, institute, course and allotted-category records.

However, because MCC explicitly says that even this revised result remains provisional and subject to change, HGE should not lock these ranks as the final 2026 Round 1 closing cutoffs yet.

Correct HGE Data Workflow

1. Keep the original provisional-result extraction only as an archived version.
2. Mark it as superseded by the 21 August revised provisional result.
3. Do not use the old data for Predictor or Cutoff Explorer.
4. Keep the revised result as a verification/reference dataset.
5. When MCC releases the Final Result, extract the complete result again.
6. Normalise quota and category codes using the MCC counselling master.
7. Calculate institute/course/quota/category-wise opening and closing AIR.
8. Validate every institution against the HGE college master before website upload.

This prevents incorrect cutoffs from entering the Predictor or Choice-Filling system.

Early Rank Pattern Seen in the Revised Result

The revised official PDF starts with the highest-ranking candidates and confirms the expected high-demand pattern.

Examples visible at the beginning of the revised list include:

• AIR 1 — AIIMS New Delhi, MBBS
• AIR 12 — JIPMER Puducherry, MBBS
• AIR 43 — B.J. Medical College Ahmedabad under All India quota
• AIR 56 — VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital
• AIR 60 — Maulana Azad Medical College

These examples are useful for understanding preference behaviour, but they are not closing cutoffs.

Final college/category/quota-wise Round 1 cutoff analysis should be generated only from MCC's Final Result.

What Should an Allotted Student Do Now?

1. Open the latest MCC revised result.
2. Search your NEET AIR carefully.
3. Compare it with your earlier provisional allotment.
4. Check college, course, category and quota.
5. If anything is wrong, submit a grievance before 8:00 AM on 22 August 2026.
6. Save/download evidence of the revised result and grievance submission.
7. Wait for the MCC Final Result before approaching the allotted college.
8. After Final Result, follow reporting/admission instructions immediately.

⚠️ Important: Do not confuse “Revised Provisional Result” with “Final Result.”

MCC itself has expressly stated that this revised provisional result is subject to change.

What About Upgradation?

Do not judge Round 2 upgrade chances purely from the earlier provisional cutoff.

Once the Final Round 1 result is available, HGE will be able to analyse:

• AIQ Government MBBS closing ranks
• AIIMS closing ranks
• JIPMER closing ranks
• Deemed University MBBS ranges
• Central University/institutional quotas
• ESIC
• category-wise closing ranks
• quota-wise opening and closing AIR
• realistic Round 2 upgrade possibilities

Students close to the eventual Round 1 closing rank of a preferred college may have meaningful upgrade opportunities in Round 2, particularly where vacancies arise from non-reporting, resignation or upgrades.
