NEET PG 2026 exam-day rules: Aadhaar authentication, documents checklist, dress advice, reporting time, prohibited items and final HGE preparation tips.

🚨 Important for NEET PG 2026 Candidates: Exam-day entry, Aadhaar authentication, biometric verification, documents and prohibited-item rules are extremely important. Do not focus only on revision now.

🗓 Exam Date: 30 August 2026

Exam Time: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

🚪 Entry Closing: Reach early. Do not take risk near gate-closing time.

Why This Alert Is Important

NEET PG 2026 is not only about your preparation. Your entry can be affected if:

  • documents are incomplete;
  • Aadhaar/biometric verification creates delay;
  • original ID is missing;
  • admit card print is unclear;
  • prohibited items are carried;
  • candidate reaches late;
  • fingers/hands have mehndi, colour, ink or paint affecting biometric verification.

NBEMS has introduced Aadhaar-based authentication and verification for NEET PG 2026. NMC Chairman Dr Abhijat Sheth has also stated that security and vigilance arrangements have been strengthened for the examination.

Aadhaar Authentication — Very Important

Candidates should be ready for Aadhaar-based identity verification.

What To Do

  • Keep Aadhaar ready, if used for verification.
  • Ensure Aadhaar is not locked before reporting.
  • Keep the same identity details used in the application.
  • Cooperate with biometric verification.
  • Be ready for alternate verification such as IRIS-based authentication if required.

What To Avoid

Do not apply:

  • Mehndi / henna
  • Colour
  • Ink
  • Paint
  • Any chemical or substance

on your:

  • fingers;
  • hands;
  • palms.

⚠️ Reason: These can interfere with biometric verification and may create inconvenience during registration/security checking.

Exam-Day Timeline

Candidates should follow the reporting time printed on their own admit card.

General exam schedule:

  • Entry / registration starts: around 7:00 AM
  • Entry closes: around 8:30 AM
  • Candidate login: around 8:45 AM
  • Instructions: around 8:50 AM
  • Exam starts: 9:00 AM
  • Exam ends: 12:30 PM

🚨 HGE Advice: Reach the centre much earlier than the last entry time. Security, Aadhaar authentication, biometric capture and frisking may take extra time.

Exam Pattern

NEET PG 2026 pattern:

  • Mode: Computer Based Test
  • Questions: 180 MCQs
