MCC Revises NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has issued a revised schedule for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2026, dated 19.08.2026.
Applies to: 15% All India Quota (AIQ), 100% Deemed University seats,
Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER (Puducherry & Karaikal), AFMC —
MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing.
Revised Round 1 Key Dates (AIQ/Deemed/Central)
- Registration & Payment: 5 Aug – 15 Aug 2026 (payment up to 5:00 PM, 15 Aug)
- Choice Filling: 6 Aug – 18 Aug 2026, up to 11:59 PM
- Choice Locking: 5:30 PM, 17 Aug – 11:59 PM, 18 Aug 2026
- Seat Allotment Processing: 19 Aug – 20 Aug 2026
- Result Declaration: 21 August 2026 ⬅ *(today — check late morning/afternoon per MCC's usual pattern)*
- Reporting/Joining at Institute: 22 Aug – 31 Aug 2026
- Verification of Joined Candidates (by institutes): 1 September 2026
State Quota Round 1 (parallel track — do not confuse with AIQ)
- Counselling window: 13 Aug – 27 Aug 2026
- Last date of joining: 5 September 2026
What changed
This is the second revision to the original Round 1 timeline: choice filling was first extended (Notice dated 17.08.2026), and the full schedule — including the result date — was then revised again (Notice dated 19.08.2026), moving the seat allotment result to 21 August, with reporting now running through 31 August instead of the earlier window.
HGE Advice
- Candidates should log in to mcc.nic.in with their application number and
password to check the result once declared.
- Those allotted a seat under the Float option only need to upload documents
online — no physical reporting required.
- Keep original certificates ready; institutes will not admit candidates without them.
- This is the AIQ/Central schedule only — State Quota Round 1 in your state
runs on a separate, later joining deadline (5 Sept). Track your state's section separately.
