Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026 Verification Slip Released

🚨 Important KEA action for MBBS/BDS candidates

>

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has activated the UGNEET 2026 Verification Slip download facility.

>

KEA has also provided a separate Document Verification Appointment portal for candidates who selected applicable eligibility conditions from Clause B to Clause O.

Candidates participating in Karnataka NEET UG 2026 counselling should check their verification status immediately.

Courses Covered

This HGE alert covers:

  • MBBS
  • BDS

KEA uses the same UGNEET landing page for Medical, Dental and AYUSH information.

HGE must continue to keep MBBS/BDS and AYUSH counselling records separate wherever the later seat matrix, option entry, allotment or admission route differs.

What Has KEA Released?

KEA's official UGNEET 2026 page now displays:

  • UGNEET 2026 Verification Slip Download Link — dated 05 August 2026
  • UGNEET 2026 Document Verification Appointment Link
  • Document-verification instructions
  • Mandatory Kannada-test information for applicable Horanadu/Gadinadu candidates
  • St. John's MBBS admission information
  • NEET Roll Number linking information
  • Special-category certificate/document submission information

Verification Slip — Why It Is Important

The Verification Slip confirms the candidate details and eligibility information accepted for Karnataka counselling.

Candidates should carefully check details such as:

  • Candidate name
  • NEET UG details
  • Eligibility clause
  • Karnataka eligibility
  • Category
  • Reservation claims
  • Rural/Kannada-medium claims where applicable
  • Special-category claims
  • Verified documents
  • Other eligibility information shown by KEA

Do not ignore an incorrect Verification Slip.

>

Wrong eligibility, category or reservation information can affect which seats and quotas become available during option entry.

Candidates Under Eligibility Clauses B to O

KEA has activated a separate secure login portal titled:

UG-NEET 2026 Document Verification Appointment

The portal specifically asks candidates to log in using:

  • Application Number
  • Password

Candidates who selected eligibility conditions falling under Clause B through Clause O and require document verification should check the appointment portal immediately.

Important: Do Not Assume Every Candidate Must Visit KEA

Physical verification requirements depend on the candidate's:

  • Eligibility clause

Candidates should follow the instructions applicable to their own verification status.

Verification Slip vs Verification Appointment

Verification Slip

This shows the candidate's verified counselling details/status.

Verification Appointment

This applies to candidates for whom KEA requires further document verification under the applicable eligibility conditions.

One service should not automatically be treated as a substitute for the other.

Special Attention for Non-Karnataka Candidates

Non-Karnataka candidates participating for eligible KEA-administered private/open seats should also check their UGNEET login and Verification Slip.

They should not assume eligibility for Karnataka Government State Quota seats merely because they have registered with KEA.

Seat eligibility will depend on the official KEA rules and the candidate's verified eligibility clause.

Karnataka Government and Private Routes

Karnataka Government Seats

Government-seat eligibility depends on the applicable Karnataka eligibility clauses and reservation requirements.

Private/Open Seats

Eligible candidates, including applicable non-Karnataka candidates, may have access to certain private/open seat routes according to KEA rules.

Minority / NRI / NRI Ward / St. John's

These require separate eligibility/document checks wherever officially prescribed.

Do not merge these special routes into the normal Government-quota eligibility status.

What Candidates Should Do Now

  1. Open the official KEA UGNEET 2026 page.
  2. Download the Verification Slip.
  3. Check every detail carefully.
  4. Confirm the eligibility clause.
  5. Confirm category and reservation claims.
  6. Check whether a document-verification appointment is required.
  7. Book/check the appointment if applicable.
  8. Keep all original documents ready.
  9. Save the Verification Slip safely.
  10. Continue monitoring KEA for the MBBS/BDS seat matrix and option-entry schedule.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Not downloading the Verification Slip
  • Assuming registration alone means verification is complete
  • Ignoring an incorrect eligibility clause
  • Ignoring category or reservation errors
  • Missing a required verification appointment
  • Assuming every candidate needs physical verification
  • Assuming non-Karnataka registration gives Government-quota eligibility
  • Using unofficial Telegram/WhatsApp verification links
  • Losing the downloaded Verification Slip
  • Waiting until option entry to identify verification problems
