Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Revised Seat Matrix OUT

🚨 FINAL REGISTRATION DAY: Bihar UGMAC Round 2 registration/application editing closes TODAY, 17 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Candidates already registered earlier must complete Round 2 consent, with payment if applicable, by 10:00 PM today.

BCECEB has made an important change to Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 after the addition of a new private medical college and 50 additional MBBS seats.

A revised Round 2 seat matrix is now officially available.

Today's Critical Deadlines

17 September 2026

Round 2 Registration / Application Submission / Application Editing:

11:59 PM

Round 2 Consent + applicable payment for candidates who already submitted their application earlier:

10:00 PM

⚠️ These are two different deadlines. Already-registered candidates should not assume the 11:59 PM registration deadline also applies to Round 2 consent.

What Changed in Bihar Round 2?

BCECEB states that the Bihar Health Department approved:

1. New Private Medical College

K. K. Medical College & Hospital Rajgir, Nalanda

The revised Round 2 matrix shows:

MBBS vacancies: 100

• General/private pool shown in matrix: 85
• NRI: 15
• Total: 100

2. Himalaya Medical College Gets 50 Additional MBBS Seats

Himalaya Medical College & Hospital Paliganj, Patna

BCECEB specifically states that 50 additional seats have been added.

Its revised Round 2 vacancy position is:

• General/private pool shown in matrix: 83
• NRI: 28
• Total Round 2 vacancies: 111

📌 The 111 figure is the revised Round 2 vacancy position — it should not be described as 111 newly added seats. The official notice specifically confirms an increase of 50 seats.

Bihar Round 2 Revised Seat Matrix Analysis

The official revised UGMAC matrix contains:

Total UGMAC Round 2 vacancies: 1,445

But this figure includes Veterinary and Fisheries programmes.

MBBS — 1,317 vacancies

• Government BDS: 14

Category-Wise Government Seat Interpretation

The revised matrix uses Bihar-specific vertical and horizontal reservation fields including:

• UR
• SC
• ST
• EBC
• BC
• RCG
• EWS
• DQ
• Female subcategories
• Minority/Special categories where applicable

Female reservation fields are shown separately alongside several vertical categories.

⚠️ HGE should preserve these as horizontal/category-linked reservations during data normalization rather than treating every female column as an independent vertical category.

Private colleges show a substantially different quota structure, including NRI seats at applicable institutions.

Important — Virtual Vacancies Can Still Arise

BCECEB specifically notes:

Virtual Vacancy may arise due to Upgradation.

This is strategically important.

A candidate should therefore not judge Round 2 possibilities only from the currently visible clear vacancies.

When an already-allotted candidate upgrades, their previous seat may enter the allocation chain.

NEET AIR + Bihar Rank + Category + College + Quota + Fee + Round 1 Cutoff + Revised Round 2 Vacancy

Candidates should build choices in genuine preference order.

Use three layers:

Dream Choices Colleges slightly above your current realistic range.

Possible Choices Colleges around your expected current-year rank movement.

Safe Choices Colleges where your rank and applicable quota/category provide stronger possibilities.

Do not fill only the colleges showing the largest vacancy numbers.

If you already submitted the Bihar UGMAC application earlier, check whether Round 2 consent and applicable payment are complete.
