KNRUHS has released the Telangana Competent Authority Quota prospectus and registration notification. Online registration and scanned-original certificate upload will run from 5 August, 6:00 AM to 12 August 2026, 6:00 PM.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences has released the official registration notification and prospectus for Telangana MBBS/BDS admissions for the 2026–27 academic year.
This is a major stage change from the earlier informational qualified-candidates list. Eligible candidates must now complete a fresh online application to be considered for the Telangana State merit list.

- Notification issued: 4 August 2026
- Registration opens: 5 August 2026 at 6:00 AM

Applications will be accepted online only. KNRUHS will not accept an offline application.

Candidates should preferably use a desktop computer or laptop while registering and uploading certificates.
Who Must Register?
NEET UG 2026-qualified and eligible candidates seeking Telangana Competent Authority Quota seats in applicable:
- Government Medical Colleges
- Government Dental College
- Category-A seats in Private Non-Minority Medical Colleges
- Category-A seats in applicable Minority Medical Colleges
- Private Non-Minority Dental Colleges
- Army College of Dental Sciences
must complete the online application and upload the prescribed scanned-original certificates.
Appearance in Telangana’s earlier qualified-candidates list does not count as counselling registration.

⚠️ The registration and processing fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted to a later date.
NEET UG Qualifying Cutoff

These are NEET qualifying cutoffs, not Telangana college-admission cutoffs.
Important Telangana Category Rules
Candidates should note:
- Telangana State Quota accepts applicable BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E certificates.
- A general Central OBC certificate will not be treated as a Telangana State BC certificate.
- Telangana SC candidates must upload a certificate clearly mentioning SC Group-I, Group-II or Group-III.
- A community certificate without the applicable SC subgroup will not be accepted.
- The EWS certificate must be valid for 2026–27, relate to financial year 2025–26, and be issued on or after 1 April 2026 by the competent Telangana authority.
- PwD candidates must select PwD in the application and later appear before the University Medical Board according to a separate schedule.
Mandatory Documents
Candidates should prepare the following scanned documents in the prescribed format and size:
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard
- SSC/Class 10 marks memo or birth proof
- Intermediate/Class 12 marks memo
- Study certificates for Classes 9 and 10
- Intermediate/equivalent study certificates for two years
- Transfer Certificate
- Telangana community certificate, where applicable
- Minority certificate, where applicable
- Valid EWS certificate, where applicable
- Latest parental income certificate, where applicable
- NCC certificates, where applicable
- CAP certificate, where applicable
- Police Martyrs Children certificate, where applicable
- SCCL certificate, where applicable
- Applicable parent-employment certificate for study outside Telangana
- Anglo-Indian certificate, where applicable
- Four-year residence certificate for candidates who did not study in an educational institution
- Aadhaar card
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Candidate signature
Mandatory certificates, photograph and signature must be uploaded. Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for preparation of the State merit position.
Registration Process
The official prospectus describes four main stages:
- Mobile and email registration
- Candidate registration and fee payment
- Uploading candidate data
- Uploading scanned-original certificates
After successful payment, the registration number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address.
Candidates should save:
- Registration number
- Payment acknowledgement
- Completed application
- Uploaded-document copies
- Login credentials
Certificate Verification Rule
KNRUHS will scrutinise the uploaded original-certificate scans for:
- Academic eligibility
- Telangana local status
- Community/category status
- Special-category status
- Reservation eligibility
Registration and certificate uploading will be completed only once, irrespective of the number of counselling phases.
KNRUHS states that no separate general notification will be issued for verification of uploaded certificates. Candidates must upload every mandatory and applicable document during this registration window.
Original documents will be finally verified by the allotted college at the time of admission.
Merit List Clarification
This registration is for determining the Telangana State merit position.
The sequence will be:
- Candidate registration
- Uploading of scanned-original certificates
- Certificate scrutiny
- Provisional merit list
- Grievance process, as officially notified
- Final merit list
- Separate web-option schedule
- Seat allotment
Obtaining a merit position does not automatically confirm final eligibility or guarantee admission.
What Candidates Should Do Now
- Read the complete official prospectus.
- Verify Telangana local-status eligibility.
- Prepare all mandatory certificates in the specified file size.
- Confirm that the category certificate is valid for Telangana State Quota.
- Arrange the correct SC subgroup certificate where applicable.
- Prepare a valid 2026–27 EWS certificate where applicable.
- Keep an active mobile number and email ready.
- Check online-payment access and transaction limits.
- Register soon after the portal opens.
- Download the final submitted application and payment receipt.
Important Warning
🚨 Do not wait until 12 August to begin certificate uploading.
Applications without mandatory certificates, photograph, signature or complete data will be rejected.
Candidates should also avoid:
- Uploading an OBC certificate instead of the applicable Telangana BC certificate
- Uploading an SC certificate without the required subgroup
- Using an expired EWS certificate
- Entering incorrect local-status information
- Uploading blurred or unreadable certificates
- Assuming the qualified-candidates list completed registration
- Treating registration as web-option entry

Registration, category mapping and certificate uploading directly affect the State merit list and the quotas available during Telangana web-option entry. Do not allow incorrect category or local-status information to remain in the submitted application.
