Maharashtra MDS Preferences Start

🚨 Important: Maharashtra MDS bond-service preference filling and fee payment will be conducted on 22–23 July 2026. The official notice does not mention a closing clock time, so candidates should complete the process early.

What Has DMER Announced?

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Maharashtra has started an online allotment process for MDS postgraduate degree holders for Senior Resident (Non-Academic) bond-service posts.

• Merit list: 21 July 2026
• Preference filling: 22–23 July 2026

• Selection list: 24 July 2026
• Recommendation letter: Available through candidate login on 24 July 2026

How Many Posts Are Available?

DMER has published a provisional vacancy list containing:

• 27 Senior Resident posts
• 20 Government medical institutions
• MDS Senior Resident (Non-Academic) positions

Some vacancies become available from a later date. Candidates must verify the vacancy-opening date before selecting a post.

Who Is Eligible?

Candidates should check the complete official conditions. Key requirements include:

• MDS postgraduate qualification
• Valid Maharashtra Dental Council registration
• Required qualification and registration documents
• Completion of the online application process

Candidates who have already joined Government Social Responsibility Service or bond service are not eligible.

Preference-Filling Rules

• Minimum preferences: 1
• Maximum preferences: 100
• Application fee: ₹1,000
• Fee status: Non-refundable
• Preferences should be arranged carefully in genuine order of choice

1. Open the official DMER bond-service portal.
2. Check the merit list and your eligibility status.
3. Download and review the vacancy list.
4. Compare institute and vacancy-opening dates.
5. Arrange preferences in the correct order.
6. Fill preferences during 22–23 July.
7. Complete the ₹1,000 fee payment.
8. Save the acknowledgement and payment receipt.
9. Check the portal on 24 July for the selection result.

Important Joining Rule

⚠️ Selected candidates must report to the allotted institution with original documents within seven working days from declaration of the selection list.

The institution will verify eligibility and documents before confirming joining.

• The vacancy list is provisional and may change.
• Only candidates selected through the official online portal will be recognised for bond service.
• The Senior Resident appointment is for one year.
