Gujarat NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Choice Filling Extended Again

ACPUGMEC has officially extended the Round-2 MBBS/BDS Choice Filling deadline.

Important — Previous Deadline Has Been Replaced

ACPUGMEC had earlier extended Round-2 choice filling to:

12 September 2026 — 10:00 AM

The authority has now issued another extension.

The controlling deadline is:

14 September 2026 — 10:00 AM

Therefore candidates who believed Gujarat Round-2 Choice Filling had already closed should check the official portal again.

HGE Dashboard Correction Required

Any existing HGE status showing:

Choice Filling — CLOSED

must immediately be replaced with:

CHOICE FILLING — ACTIVE

and the old deadline:

12 September 2026 — 10:00 AM

must be replaced with:

14 September 2026 — 10:00 AM

This is a direct official deadline revision.

Which Seats Are Covered?

ACPUGMEC officially manages the admission process for 100% seats of participating Gujarat Medical and Dental colleges through:

• Government Quota — GQ
• Management Quota — MQ
• NRI Quota — NQ

Candidates must evaluate these quota routes separately because eligibility, fees and realistic closing ranks can differ substantially.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates participating in Round 2 should:

1. Log in to the official ACPUGMEC portal.
2. Recheck the latest available MBBS/BDS choices.
3. Review Government Quota options.
4. Review Management Quota options separately.
5. Review NRI seats only if eligible.
6. Check latest college fees before placing expensive private/NRI choices.
7. Keep colleges in genuine preference order.
8. Review the full list before final submission.
9. Save proof of submitted choices.
10. Complete the process before 14 September 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Choice Filling Strategy

Do not arrange colleges only according to previous closing rank.

A better order is:

Actual college preference → acceptable fees/quota → realistic probability → upgrade strategy

Candidates should generally place a genuinely preferred college above a less-preferred college even if the preferred college historically had a tougher cutoff.

Previous cutoffs are guidance — not guaranteed Round-2 closing ranks.

Government vs Management vs NRI

HGE should keep these routes separate in strategy and cutoff analysis.

Government Quota — GQ

Normally the most competitive merit route.

Management Quota — MQ

Different fee structure and potentially different rank movement.

NRI Quota — NQ

Separate eligibility/document conditions and substantially different fee structure.

Do not compare all three using one common cutoff.

Important: Separate Admission Cancellation Window

ACPUGMEC has also separately announced that candidates who have already taken admission and want to cancel that admitted MBBS/BDS seat can do so on:

14 September 2026 — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

by physically visiting their respective Reported Help Center.

This is NOT the same as Round-2 Choice Filling.

ACTIVE until 14 Sep — 10:00 AM

Admission Cancellation

14 Sep — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

as two separate candidate actions.

HGE Data Rule

Do not move Gujarat to Allotment Processing yet.

The correct main counselling stage remains:

CHOICE FILLING

until:

14 September 2026 — 10:00 AM

Only after that deadline passes, and provided ACPUGMEC does not issue another extension, should HGE move the section to:
