Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has announced UGMAC-2026 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions in Bihar.

BCECEB issued Advertisement No. BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/01 and /02 dated 7 August 2026 for admission through NEET UG 2026.

The authority has also released the UGMAC-2026 Seat Matrix.

Important Bihar UGMAC 2026 Dates

⚠️ Registration and Choice Filling have different closing dates.

Application/payment closes on 14 August, while choice filling and locking continue until 17 August at 11:59 PM.

The 2026 notice includes the applicable private colleges participating in UGMAC, including existing colleges and newly listed institutions.

Candidates must check the official 2026 Seat Matrix before submitting choices.

Seat Matrix Released

BCECEB has officially uploaded the UGMAC-2026 Seat Matrix.

Candidates should use the 2026 matrix while preparing choices and should not rely on last year's seat numbers.

The seat matrix should be checked for:

• College
• Course
• Government / Private status
• Category distribution
• Female reservation
• DQ/PwD
• Minority seats
• NRI seats
• Other applicable quota seats

Counselling Rounds

BCECEB states that there will be:

4 online counselling rounds

The current notice provides the detailed programme for Round 1 and Round 2.

Further rounds will be notified separately.

Round 2 Schedule

No fresh registration will be permitted between Round 1 and Round 2.

Candidates who want to participate in these first two rounds must complete the initial registration within the notified Round 1 registration window.

Registration Process

BCECEB has prescribed the following process:

7. Upload photograph, signature and applicable documents
8. Preview application
9. Final submission
10. Payment of counselling fee and security deposit

NEET Authentication

During registration candidates will be authenticated using:

• NEET UG 2026 Roll Number
• Candidate Name
• Date of Birth

OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email registered with the NEET UG 2026 application.

BCECEB states that the registered mobile number/email cannot be changed during the counselling session.

Bihar UGMAC Counselling Fee

Government Medical/Dental Seats

Private Medical/Dental Participation

For candidates opting for Private Medical/Dental Colleges:

₹1,200 counselling fee

applies to all categories.

Processing/payment gateway charges are additional.

Security Deposit

The security deposit is separate from the non-refundable counselling fee.

The prescribed security deposit is refundable according to BCECEB counselling rules.

Choice Filling

Choice filling starts along with the counselling application from:

10 August 2026

Final deadline:

17 August 2026 at 11:59 PM

Candidates should:

1. Add every acceptable college/course.
2. Arrange colleges in genuine preference order.
3. Save choices.
4. Review the final order carefully.
5. Lock choices before the deadline.
6. Download the final choice slip.

If saved choices are not manually locked by the deadline, BCECEB states that they will be automatically locked after the choice-filling deadline.

Application Correction

Application correction/editing is permitted during the registration period.

The final deadline is:

14 August 2026 at 11:59 PM

Candidates must finally submit the edited application again.

If editing changes the applicable fee/security deposit, additional payment requirements may arise.

UGMAC Rank Card

BCECEB will prepare the UGMAC merit/rank on the basis of NEET UG 2026 AIR and applicable eligibility rules.

The UGMAC-2026 Rank Card is scheduled for:

16 August 2026

Only eligible candidates who complete the application and required payment within the scheduled window will be considered.

NRI Candidates — Important

Candidates claiming NRI quota must select:

NRI

during UGMAC registration.

Required applicable NRI documents must also be uploaded.

The official notice refers candidates to the current MCC/DGHS NRI rules and requires eligible documentation such as:

• NEET UG Score Card
• Passport
• NRI certificate issued by competent Embassy / Indian Consulate authority
• Sponsorship affidavit where applicable
• NRE bank-account supporting document where applicable
• Relationship / guardianship documentation as applicable

Candidates should not select NRI quota unless they satisfy the official documentation requirements.

DQ / PwD Candidates

DQ candidates must produce the prescribed disability documentation from authorised centres and applicable:

• UDID Card
• DQ certificate
• Affidavit

as prescribed.

Improper or unauthorised disability certification may result in rejection of the quota claim.

Minority Candidates

Candidates seeking an applicable Minority Quota seat must upload the proper Minority Certificate issued by the competent authority.

Minority and NRI are separate claims and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Private Medical College Fee — Important Warning

BCECEB specifically advises candidates to verify private-college tuition and additional charges before registration and choice filling.

The notice also refers to the ongoing fee position arising from the Patna High Court matter relating to private medical institutions.

Do not select a private medical college only on the basis of previous-year fee information.

Verify the latest college-wise payable fee before locking choices.

Round 1 Allotment Rules

Round 1 Provisional Allotment Result is scheduled for:

20 August 2026

Candidates allotted a seat will have to upload clear scanned copies of required original documents for verification.

Candidates can then proceed according to applicable Freeze / Float / Free Exit rules.

Freeze

A candidate accepting the allotted seat and not seeking upgradation will be treated as Freeze and must complete physical document verification/admission at the allotted institution.

Float

A candidate wanting upgradation can choose Float subject to the applicable counselling rules.

Free Exit

Round 1 provides a Free Exit facility according to BCECEB rules.

Important Candidate Checklist

Before 10 August:

1. Check Bihar UGMAC eligibility.
2. Download and study the official notice.
3. Check the official 2026 Seat Matrix.
4. Keep Bihar residence/category documents ready.
5. Verify NRI/Minority/DQ documents where applicable.
6. Check private-college tuition fees.
7. Prepare a realistic MBBS/BDS preference list.
8. Keep the required security deposit amount available.

After registration starts:

1. Register through the official UGMAC-2026 portal.
2. Complete NEET authentication.
3. Fill the application carefully.
4. Upload applicable documents.
5. Pay counselling fee and security deposit.
6. Complete choice filling.
7. Correct any application errors before 14 August.
8. Lock final choices by 17 August at 11:59 PM.
9. Download the confirmation page and choice slip.
